Well Anunoby has started 36 games for Toronto who have the league's 4th best record. Jackson has started 16 games for the league's 5th worst record and is shooting 39/27/60 for the season. Anunoby is shooting 46/36/70. Give me Anunoby's 6ppg over Jackson's 10ppg on a significantly worse shooting any day of the week. We're not even talking about Anunoby's defensive impact.

Somehow basketball reference won't let me see his advanced stats compared to other players with significant minutes, but a -3.6 OBPM and -0.5 WS must be among the worst, right?
He wasnt hyped up majority knew and understood Ntilkina was more of a project player you have to be patient with. You look forward to what he can become later not what he is now.. right now he is really raw. I think he's at least 2 years away from being the point guard we need him to be (that is if this franchise even has the patience to wait around)
Mitchell was the guy i wanted but not ready to give up on ntilkina just yet as frustrating as his offense is to watch at times.

Mitchell gets three fouls in the first qtr. Still finishes with 20pts/4ast/4stls/3rebs in 26 minutes.

Ntilikina is young and playing a tough position. He needs a couple years to put his game together.

Reminds me of Exum. He just needs to stick with it and stay healthy.

He also took 17 shots in that time.
The jazz actually played their best bball of the season with Mitchell on the bench.

They were +17 with him on vs +13 with him off. So their 'best basketball of the season' generates a worse differential?

The folks forecasting that Simmons would struggle to score once teams started waiting for him in the paint, were wrong.
For January (11 games), Simmons shot .586 from the field for 16.5ppg.

Fox was my favorite guard in the draft. While not a knock down shooter, his form is still pretty fluid. A few years down the line I wouldn't be shocked to see him in the convo for top 3 guys from this draft. He is going to be really really good. I wish he was in a better time zone for me because I really enjoy watching him play.

Man I really like Mitchell. He is going to be pretty awesome. I hope Jazz molds him as a James Harden type player. He really has the tools. He has really good handles and does have a good vision.

LMAO! Fake news. Anyone who actually watches Utah games knows how much better DM makes the team.
During the game they mentioned a stat:
Mitchell has 14 games scoring 25+ points this year.
The rest of this rookie class has 24 combined.
New York said Mitchell wasn't the guy you trade the sink for, then they traded it for Mikal, lol.

Anyone who thought Tatum vs Jackson was over.
January stats:
Tatum - 30 minutes, 11 points, 5 rebounds @ 46/34/75
Jackson - 24 minutes, 14 points, 4 rebounds @ 50/31/74

Re: The ROTY/Rookie Discussion Thread, Part III
Ben Simmons has been absolutely fantastic lately. Very efficient shooting nights and the nonchalant turnovers are trending down. Perimeter shooting by the wings have been putrid lately, otherwise there would have been some big assist numbers as well.
6'10'' shouldn't be able to do things like this:
Also a shout out for Jarrett Allen who was terrific this game.

So to prove a point about how much better Mitchell makes the team play you're going to cite the amount of times he scored more than 25 points?
According to nbawowy, the Jazz have been slightly worse with Mitchell on the court. Still very impressive for a rookie with his usage rate.

Pretty sure it’s still over.
