Great things happen when he has the ball man. Its crazy to say that about a rookie. If he weren't guarding Beal on the 3 point line, he'd have more rebounds too.

I feel like he can reach draymond levels even before his rookie deal expires. Pretty amazing floor.

Agreed. Having league pass allows me to watch almost any game, and now that I've seen him play in preseason, the raps have become a must watch.

In terms of interest, he's captured my basketball imagination the same way Doncic did when he was a rookie.

Whenever I'm not watching my team(Pistons)I look thru to see of these teams are playing, soley because of these players.

Ya, really looks like Barnes has 'it'. Once he is a 3PT threat and people have to guard him out to the line he will be scary.

If GTJ wasnt shooting like Andre Miller from 3 Scottie would have like 2-3 more assist.

He also knows when to go for the block and when to just get vertical in a way that normally only a vet does. Its still baffling to me how few professionals know how to just get vertical, accept your not getting the block and just make the shot more difficult. Its a lost art somehow, and not that difficult to do.

Scottie Barnes is hounding Beal too. Crowding him too much, imo, but he has so much length that Beal looks out of control when he does beat him cause he's trying to avoid the recovery.

He's patient. That last play before the timeout, when he was "trapped" in the paint, he didn't panic and do something stupid. He waited, and made the right play.

As someone else stated, he has "it".

He should be running the offense, or being groomed to do so. He is so dynamic, and at his size, he would be killer as a point forward. Develope even being a threat from three and he becomes amazing.

I always thought he had a bit too much confidence in his ability to create. He was at first just a spotup 3PT guy, then learned to pump fake and take a step in, ever since that move was added he has begun to try to be a guy that creates his own shot. Almost think he would be a better player if he never learned to pump fake and take that step in.

I've always hated guys who are role players but think they're star players. That's where Trent Jr currently sits for me.

Hope he can continue to grow to have his skills match the ego. I really want to like the guy.
