The election for MVP is a race where everyone else is the favorite and in the end Jokic always wins.

My man.. we are about 20% into the season lol. Most teams have played 14-16 games. But yea, the poll has some of the wrong guys by season end most likely.

My man… this poll wasn't made yesterday. It was posted on 23rd of October. Do the math.

The poll keeps resetting. So the time it was 5% won’t matter now?

17 point comeback win vs the Wizards for SGA. Took over completely in the clutch. 42/6/7. Back to a half game within .500.

Mavs are trying really hard to make Luka´s MVP case. Through three quarters his fellow starters have scored 25pts. Not able to score against the worst team in the league.

This DAL-HOU game really solidifies Luka's MVP case...all naysayers suddenly understand why he has the ball so much

If he can get Dallas into the top 4 and his numbers don't plateau (~30/8/8 on 60 TS% should get it done), the MVP award is his to lose.

One game and especially a b2b can't prove anything.

OKC beat Dallas with Doncic by shuting him down, then a few days later lost to a depleted Bucks team at home without Giannis, Jrue, Middleton and more and then they won b2b games against the Raptors and @Knicks.

Lol, some posters are deperate
Tell me more abot Luka's "on\off" and about how the Mavs are just as good without him

Let's be honest: guys that now say - it's just one game! - if this one game would have exhibited the Mavs playing well and dominating, you's be out here making threads. You wouldnt be saying..ah it's just one game

Dude SGA is literally ridiculous. He's a one man offense and plays both ends. Doing his best 08-09 DWade impression right now.

Curry's the best player in the league. MVP is a debate.

How would they dominate without Luka when they are mediocre with him to begin with?
They are 8-6 and Luka missed only one game.

They problem is not Luka himself. It's Dallas offense in general. It's Harden's Rockets No2. Overelying to ISOs and 3s. The Mavs missed 17 3s in a row to lose the game. That's why they keep losing +20pt leads all the time with or without Luka.

Team record is the only thing that is keeping him out of the conversation atm. But once GSW starts winning again, I expect the media to run his narrative more. He's having a historic season, arguably his best ever. At 34. Unreal.

LeBron puts up historic scoring numbers in a losing effort: "Stat padding. He's clearly going for the scoring title."

Curry puts up historic scoring numbers in a losing effort: "Is he peaking? Best player in the league and GOAT of all time offensive player!"

I would say last night game between Mavs and the worst team in the leader pushed Luka's case for the MVP very very high.

I am pretty realistic concerning the Warriors (if not optimistic), and I don't see it for them this year. Curry's not winning MVP.

Funny you mention, that was actually a spot that all sports bettors were salivating over (assuming Luka playing). They are the worst team in the NBA in covering >5 point spreads, and it was a dream spot getting +9 for the Rockets against a weary Mavs team. On the b2b with no Luka they just gave up though, so easy win regardless.

But no, a 23 year old on a near .500 team taking the night off for rest in the first month of the season while the team loses certainly does not help his case, that is for sure (obviously the opposite is the case). Always a funny take, though.

Luka has the MVP on lock as long as he can get Dallas to 50 wins imo

Funny you mention that because right now the warriors are looking like 2022 lakers down to their winning pace

Mavericks couldn't even beat Rockets (worst team in NBA with 2-12 record) without Luka!
