I think Dybantsa has better offensive potential.

Saquan Barkley is the closes comp I can think of or Bryce Harper- I would have said young Jon Bone Jones but he seems to have a better ground game

He's not as good as he's being made out to be, or is expected of him, but he's good. He won't look like the best prospect on his own team some night's. Still, he plays the premier position with the premier archetype. Personally I would want my raps to take Ace right now.

Ace Bailey looks like a chucker. Flagg looks like a more well rounded player.

Maybe, I wouldn't argue that. But Ace is definitely more of the go to scorer between the 2

I feel that is the case only because Ace takes so many shots. I feel take Cooper is more of a go to scorer but he is just more disciplined. Cooper tries to find the open, he doesn’t take bad shots, he just plays the right way. It helps that Duke has so much talent.

Maybe Flagg is nervous but he doesn’t look very good against this bad Maine team.

Edit: this is obviously in comparison to the generational prospect label, not just a #1 pick. Overall he looks fine and like a freak athlete that needs a lot of skill development and to fix his jumpshot.

I'm watching and I still see AK-47 with a little more offense.

Should be a great all-around player. His passing is pretty damn underrated. I would keep him at pf and use him as a point forward.

Definitely a lot of similarities with Andrei. He's not quite as tall or long but is stronger with a sturdier base. Probably a better all-around athlete.

I like the passing and back-to-the-basket stuff. Cooper has a strong frame with a sturdy base, has great balance, absorbs contact very well, plays physically, and covers a lot of ground pivoting with his long strides. His strength and post potential are two areas in which he differs from Kirilenko.

Luka, Randle, and Brunson are three current examples of primary shot creators who use a back-down game to get into the teeth of the defense and collapse it. Flagg may not have a crazy burst off the dribble, but he seems to have the right ingredients for the back-down game.

He’s AK-47 with legit point forward skills. Is that generational? Probably not. Is that a damn good #1 pick that many teams would tank for? Hell ya.

Flagg basically looked the part tonight. High level defender, point forward skills, really damn good from the mid range and attacking the basket. The 3pt shot is the biggest “hole” in his game that needs the most work.

I think the best current NBA comp is Banchero given his combination of size, scoring and passing. Banchero with better defense.

Yeah I said this last year. He's not generational, but he's going to be damn good. He's someone who can play with any star and can play in any system.

If he can continue to improve that 3pt shot his offensive game will reach another level.

I think his mid level outcome is like top 20 player, and I actually think that's closer to the lower part of that range.

He had a beautiful crossover for a jumper that just missed. But he appears to be a good free throw shooter so I'm confident he can be a mid-40s percentage midrange guy once he's like 21. He's super fluid as an athlete and he's only 17 so he will only get stronger, probably get up to 215 or so without losing mobility. I think he will be a top 10 player. Is that generational? Idk it depends. But due to various issues, neither Zion nor Ja have been consistent top 10 guys, and I think Cooper lacks the clear flaws that they have.

I see a 22/8/6 on +3 or +4 TS% in a few years barring something unexpected. Throw in all-nba defense and that's a certifiably elite guy.

He has a nice combination of size, handle, athleticism and offensive versatility to go with his defense. On a spaced floor, he's going to be able to create. I really like how aggressively he can get downhill.
