LoL yeah, sorry, I qouted Pau comparison comment.

Nuggets should trade Murray for Shroeder then, if FIBA play translates to NBA play as you suggest here Shroeder would be Jokic's equal superstar to pair with.

Gobert spotted doing the money sign to refs, but this time with pride and approval

unbelievably disappointing from Canada. I only saw the France game against Japan and i thought they looked terrible. I don't want to whine about the refs, France is playing in front of their home crowd, canada should have been better prepared.

The team is too imbalanced right now, we really need some quality bigs.

I'm pretty confident Canada was losing to Germany anyway, but what a brutal showing. Murray is going to make like 200M more than he should in his career due to who he gets to play off of.

1-9 FGs, 2 points for Brooks ... very satisfying

i was wondering this too. i think they did the 3 guard lineup there late in the 2nd half but it was a little too late.

I have no horse in this race but you guys crying about refs is pathetic.
Canada was terrible, a lot of fouls not called on both sides.

Cant complain about refs because canada didn't deserve to win...

But that was a little suspicious, no? Like if we played better and still lost...id be beside myself.

Is FIBA box score broken, or how the hell Murray has EFF of +1?

He is 3/13 with 7 points, 3 TOS and 2 fouls. Where did EFF points come from? Man, I am not mathing today.

Yeah I thought Germany would be tougher. Still would have had a chance to medal even with a loss to Germany

Yup, but you could argue that France was also terrible and one team was artifically buoyed more than the other. It's like the basketball equivalent of a mistrial.

Only watched the fourth and I can't believe that everybody is blaming the refs on this one. Maybe they favoured France in the first quarters but it was pretty even in the 4th in my opinion. Shai missing 2 fts that would've cut it to 3 points and playing Murray all those minutes when all he did was missing shots and losing the ball while guarding nobody were the key to this loss. Canada had it's chance and blew it while old man Fournier was making clutch shot after clutch shot. I gotta say I like our chances against this French team. We might be the underdog but they are not better than our squad so let's see if we can withstand their homecrowd. Let's go!

France really is not lol

There has been probably 12 bad calls favoring France today.

Does not change the fact that this is not the Canada's quality we've seen in the group stages.

That's the challenge, beauty, and pain of single eliminations. Feels like Canada peaked earlier and France had yet to hit their stride. France also had an excellent game plan to go bruising inside. They were not intimidated or bullied by Canada's big guards either.

They secured the first as well

For as much as I agree on France getting all the homecooking y'all accuse them of, I think we should set the record straight on the fact that this was their 3rd win of the tournament, not 2nd. They beat Brazil in the opener.

'Merica needs to annex Canada. They can keep Queubec. SGA deserves better than to be torched by Evan Fournier.
