I don't think he was hurt BUT i think he got tired and wanted to take plays off literally while staying in the game so he I think he took a five minute nap. So there it is, Melo went to sleep in middle of the court, mystery solved! 8-)

People are over reacting here and rushing to say he was faking it.

Melo most likely hit his head on Durants hip bone, along with the shock from the neck pushing down. He just got knocked out for a minute that's all.

Yes after a person is knocked out they will be fine in a few minutes. You could tell some people have never seen a good fight before. People get knocked out and walk away a few minutes later all the time.

I glad I'm not the only who went WTF at that. Playing possum? Are you f'ing serious? How many players have DIED on the court due to sudden heart attacks? The guy didn't even move when he went down and you are accusing him of playing possum? WOW.

The Announcer said that he thought the judgment of the officials was that Anthony was playing possum, not that he thought Anthony was playing possum.

By the way, not anyone who disagrees with what a player does is a hater. I am FAR from a Melo hater. I really like the dude. I just think he exxagerated a bit, but that's just my opinion.

Listen again. The first announcer said that and the other announcer said " he VERY WELL MAY BE because he's disgusted he didn't get the call." It was a disgusting comment to make while the man was motionless on the court.

No, no, I didn't mean to quote you, I meant to take your quote out and just quote the first guy. I didn't like how he said "announcers," when it was just that other dude, that's all. My mistake.

The refs are supposed to let play continue, but any Denver player could have committed an intentional foul to stop the clock or called a timeout after they got the ball back. Even their coach could have called a timeout.

Either they were ALL oblivious (not just JR) or they simply don't like Melo...

Watching the video again here is the fact I got from it.....

He didnt complain about the call. He went down right away. He did flop around on the ground to get the call. He didnt complain about a non call when he came back. He did move out of the way with people jumping around him. He didnt even flinch when jr jumped jumped right next to him. From the video it looks like he didnt have his eyes open while everyone was playing around him. He was laying there motionless.

Those are the facts I got from the video. If he was faking it then he will be a great actor after his basketball career. Do I think someone could fake that?? Sure I guess but it would be extremely difficult to not at least flinch when 200 pound grown men are jumping right next to your head.

Yea.. If he was faking it, wouldn't you think he move or sit up when there's 9 freaking players running full speed toward him? Some of you haters need to get a life.

he wasn't faking, anyone who actually believes that he was doing so is dumber than JR Smith.

As many people have already mentioned, if he was faking it, it's likely that he would at least flinch.

Even more telling is the fact that he literally wasn't even moving even after the trainers/staff were poking/prodding him for a good 20 seconds.

I can see how at first you might think he was faking it, but if you look at the facts and notice how he LITERALLY wasn't moving despite everything going on around him, you're a moron if you still think it's fake.

And let me piggyback off that point. WHY is the question no one answers. There would be no point for him to fake being unconscious. To prove a point? GTFO with that explanation.

what I don't get is...after the hit he was still moving, I thought a blacked out is a blacked out...you get hit and you blacked out, you're not gonna be able to move..in melo's situation he got hit...was still moving, (plus you can actually see other teammates trying to talk to him.)then fell asleep...
