5. Boston - age is catching up big time
6. Atlanta - I think they've peaked already
7. New York - Amare is good for a playoff berth
8. Philadelphia - not sold on anyone for this spot really, but I like their pieces

This although I'm not sold on Orlando's changes either. Personally, I think they would have been better off signing Haslem because he has that nice mid range J that compliments a center. I'd put Miami ahead of them even with all the unknowns.

I wonder why pepole think the magic need to make any changes, we had the best post all star record after a slow start(which was excpected with all the new members on the team) and already improved our back up point guard and small forward, and assuming we can retain redick I cant think of a reason why the magic shouldnt be at least as good as last year.

p.s.imo it's too early to make any general power ranking, since the offseason is far from over and trades can happen anytime.
i'd wait until september to start these talks
but i can't just stand a prediction with Indiana in the playoff in a thougher east

For everyone getting mad at where Boston is being ranked remember that every year they have been together they have had a worst record. They don't care about the regular season. It's all about the post season to them. Last year they where the forth seed, and the Miami WILL past them so that might be 5th seed for them. The Bulls or Bucks might pass them. Remember all the teams you are predicting to win 50 plus games. Remember Boston record(not saying the team gets worst)gets worst every year, and they only won 50 games last year. So with people saying that Miami, Magic, ATL, Bulls, and Bucks might win 50 plus games,I can see Boston getting a low seed then turning it on in the playoffs.

People think that losing raymond will make us lose a step, but every time DJ has started he put up monster numbers, with the acquisition of livingston, our PG spot is solid, all we need to do is use Dampeir's contract for a starting level C and it's a wrap.

You know why rankings like these are stupid? Because after the consensus top 3, then everyone's homer goggles turn on and they rank according to what team they like the most or drop a team they don't like. But here I'll humor you guys and do one

1.Miami Heat
2.Orlando Magic
3.Boston Celtics
4.Chicago Bulls
5.Atlanta Hawks
6.Milwaukee Bucks
7.Philadelphia 76ers
8.New York Knicks

9.Charlotte Bobcats
10.Indiana Pacers
11.Detroit Pistons
12.Washington Wizards
13.Cleveland Cavaliers
14.Toronto Raptors
15.New Jersey Nets

Can someone explain to me why some people have the Cavaliers finishing with a better record than the Raptors?

No Felton is going to destroy you guys. Couple that with not adding that post threat in the offseason = No playoffs.
