Lebron's versatility on the defensive end is a quality that can't be properly measured as far as impact but is certainly a valuable asset to have.
And again, Iguodala and Deng are both better pure defenders than him. Not to mention, Dwight Howard changes the game defensively. Literally no argument for LeBron when there are arguably 3-4 better defenders than him in the league.

But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

Dwight Howard
Tony Allen
Andre Iguodala
Luol Deng
that was easy

I'm "trolling" yet you post a gif of a Bulls scrub shooting over Lebron as "evidence" of him not being a great defensive player in support of your "argument". Funny joke.

Howard will probably win it again. I mean he has Nelson, Richardson, Hedo and Anderson in front of him, yet he still have his team as one of the best defensive teams in the league. If you took Howard off the Magic, they would probably give up 130 a night.

Not that. You say he has no argument, then you go on to say that there are arguably 3 or 4 better. It's a conflicting statement.
And TBH I think I can make a decent argument for James over Iggy, Deng, and Allen

+1
Dwight Howard is by far the best defender in the NBA, and that isn't going to change any time soon

Tony Allen and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute are the two best defender in the NBA, maybe only Dwight Howard is better but he'll never get the recognition because of name value. Tony Allen had a legitimate case for DPOY last year.

Well there's an argument, my fault if I worded that badly, I think LeBron is a great defender but in my opinion at least, I don't think LeBron has any argument over Dwight and Iggy. Both are both on another level defensively than him. I think he has an argument over Deng, and Allen doesn't get enough minutes to qualify as a DPOY candidate, but people really underrate what Dwight and Iggy do to a game defensively.

I think Garnett deserves a mention here too. The Celtics are just below the Bulls in DRTG at #3. The only other significant defensive player we've got is JO, and he's only playing 23 minutes a game in 24 games.

Hell, I think Iguodala and Deng are both better defenders than him, they just won't get the hype because they aren't allowed to hand-check:
cause a GiF image of one play makes all the difference. How come you didn't post the GiF of LeBrons sack on Lucas head also? Lol
That's funny you say LeBron is allowed to hand check. Since other elite defenders never get away with it either. If the refs made every single call every elite defender would foul out in 2 qts. And that goes for every other player in the nBa as well. Every player gets away with their fair share of violations.

Re: James eyeing Howard's Defensive Player Of Year award
I don't think people underrate what Howard does defensively, hence him winning 3 straight DPOTY awards. It will be 4 straight after this season because no one changes games defensively like Dwight Howard. NO ONE.
