Alot of forumites who know of realgm and don't visit it regularly view it as a non-informational, casual fansite. Any "real" attempt at sharing inside info, analysis, stats, etc is viewed with humorous derision: "Oh, it's from realgm" "lol you used realgm as your source?"

I was one of those people, but once you get acclimated to the board you start paying closer attention to the real knowledgeable posters. Unfortunately, the same people that make realgm fun to read are not the people who post ridiculous articles like the one discussed here. That's why realgm has a bad professional name.

If the owner or manager of this site has any interest in expanding horizons, they should reconsider their hiring process because with people like Tjarks falling through the cracks, something obviously ain't working.

This wasn't the first time this season Realgm gets mentioned in the press this season. During the last day of Dwight Howard drama ESPN quoted Realgm saying that Dwight is going to opt in into his contract. Later on they just dropped the RealGM part and said it was a " source".
