Irving is pretty close to untouchable. Not Lebron/Durant untouchable, but up there.

Irving + #4 for Davis is downright funny.

#24 is a late 1st round pick. Usually the best you can hope for there is a role player. THe 2nd round picks aren't worth much in the NBA. It comes down to that #4. Who is going to do a #1 for #4 pick + maybe a role player? No one.

Cleveland would never consider offering that package. Irving showed superstar flashes and is actually very marketable player (Pepsi Max/Uncle Drew).

No forget all that hypothetical crap. You said you'd do it and I said if you were the GM of the Hornets, you'd get fired. Or at least you SHOULD be fired. I certainly didn't mean to hurt your ego. Perhaps you should get a bigger ego so it wouldn't get hurt so easily. Or maybe you shouldn't have an ego where hypothetical things are concerned.

BTW, we're almost a full page since I posted about Irving and Davis (big over small) and no one has answered. If Irving never played a game in the NBA and both he and Davis were in this draft, does Irving go over Davis? Block out anything Irving has done in the NBA and tell me would he go over a big in Davis.

Cavs should be happy NOH said no.

Anthony Davis is overrated. If you think he's going to be a superstar or something, you are in for a letdown. The kid is just going to be another Joaquim Noah type of player.

Wait, someone said Kyrie Irving + SOMETHING for Anthony Davis?
.
People have no idea how good kyrie is/will be, this is absurd  The guy is going to be BETTER than Anthony davis. Both of them together would make the cavs contenders in a few years.
.
I'd give the 4th, the 24th, 33rd and tristan (and take Ariza if they want to get rid of him) for Davis, but that's it. Irving is a PROVEN player, ROY, future all-star. Anthony Davis is a prospect and never played a single NBA game.
.
The Hornets are the ones that need to give something for Kyrie.

Cav need to look to trade for Josh Smith

4th and Tristian Thompson for Josh Smith

PG-Kyrie
SG-Shannon Brown (signing)
SF- Brandon Rush (signing)
PF-Josh Smith
C- Anderson Varejao

thats a pretty nice team ...5th seed probably in East

young good legs ...a couple of slashers that can score or spot up ..
Josh and Anderson play solid defense and protect rim ..
Brandon Rush can shoot 3s and be a perfect swing ..
Brown can get more burn possibly lead that team in scoring

Brown -17 ppg
Kyrie -16 ppg -8 assist
Josh Smith -16/9 rebs
Brandon Rush 12 ppg- couple of threes
Anderson 11/10 rebs

Your sarcasm detector is broken.

Nobody knows how good Anthony Davis will be and nothing about the guy tells me he's a lock to be an elite player. His low post game is non existent. He's not a physical presence and not ridiculously athletic. Only in your mind is 3 first round picks (2 high lottery) for Anthony Davis absurd.

I would have elaborated further but there was really no need to. I'm not saying the decision is wrong or right, but if you have a young stud big and a young stud point guard, which of the two are the GM's more likely to value?

Cleveland would never offer that so it doesn't matter.
