people say that his body will eventually break down but it's not based on anything, really. malone's body never broke down until his very last year at LA.

lebron doesn't get enough credit for his physical preparation: yoga, pilates, leg massages before every game, 1 hour of stretching with a therapist before games too, ice bath for his legs after games, 4-hour naps on gamedays, diet... that's why he almost never misses games.

His body is bound to break down. He's been playing since 18...

At some point he'll change his game. He facilitates the offense so well, is so strong, and just has an incredible feel for the game that even a drastic athleticism decline would probably reduce him to "only" and all-star talent. I can see him playing till 40. His career is less than 1/2 over.

I expected him to become more grounded, play more PF/C and be like a 20/9/7 guy as he aged. The scoring still being that good is one of the craziest things ever.

I remember being in College when his HS games were on ESPN. A friend in school claimed he was going to dominate as a rookie. I told him that wasn't possible. I then watched with absolute glee how wrong I was.

We definitely take him for granted. Crazy how his accomplishments go from impossible to no big deal. Been like that since 2003 really, as he was the first guy out of high school to be really good immediately. People said he'd need a couple years like Kobe and KG.

30k points is almost guaranteed at this point assuming no major injuries. 10k rebounds is a decent probability assuming a long career. 10k assists is extremely unlikely though unless he has some late stage turn into a pure high assist point guard.

-edit- I'm not even sure what kind of player can ever achieve 30,000 points and 10,000 assists? You're talking a primary all-time high scorer/primary all-time high assist player. That almost can't exist.

Crazy that Lebron is closing in on 40k, 11k, 11k. This is such a unique player profile.

Even crazier is when you consider that his career playoff numbers alone would make a better-than-average NBA career, so the RS+Playoffs career numbers are insane. As of today:

And yet the craziest stat is that he's earned 19 all-NBA honors -- 4 more than either KAJ or Duncan -- and if people voted today, he likely earns his 20th

There were some haterS lmao, but man at the same time this aint normal. LeBron is a generational once in a lifetime talent. I don't blame anyone with a rational mind thinking he wouldn't last this long. This is just another testament to his greatness.
