Love the new name. My only gripe is that it sounds a heckuva lot better when you change "New Orleans" to Nola.

NOLA PELICANS. Has a southern drawl to it. I'm sure it will catch on.

Pelicans are the real **** of the avian world. They make Blue Jays look like saints. I live on Biscayne Bay, and I've watched pelicans bully and berate gulls, pigeons and crows alike. If they want a spot, they're pretty much taking it. They don't **** with the hawks though. :lol:

I can't take anything a Football Analyst/Coach/Fan says seriously...Herm Edwards is seriously gonna bash that Pelicans name and not touch the 49ers(ohhhh were gonna gold mine you to death), Colts/Broncos (Horses!? lol), DOLPHINS (hahahahahah), and Saints (what can sound more harmless? Nuns? Priests?) **** him and his football agenda.

Yeah, if I had to be nitpicky about it, the "s" at the end of New Orleans makes it rough saying New Orleans Pelicans just because your tongue is going from an "s" sound to a "p".

While I love the Pelicans name. It would have also been more smooth if the team name started with an "s". Just so it sounds more sleek saying something like New Orleans Swamp Dogs or something.

Dunno about the fans in New Orleans but other fan bases can be pretty sarcastic especially if the team is sucking it would be appropriate. Just a thought.

I've seen the jersey and logo. Not sure if it is making its rounds yet, but I obviously can't post it.

All I will say about the jersey is that it very clean and not very flashy at all. Very basic and understated look to it.
