Where is that passion in the NBA? The only time i've seen it was when Dirk won the title in 2011. I dont see it from American players.

A couple of years ago Bosh cried after a tough loss and tons of idiots started making fun of him, instead of appreciating the fact that he cared even about a regular season game. When I was visiting Spain what struck me was how pretty much every beach is a nude beach. And you see hot girls lying there naked. And everyone just minds their business. Second, you're also flat out lying about Spain. Only a tiny faction of Spanish beaches are nude beaches. Nudity isn't illegal anywhere in Spain, but beaches on which nudism is effectively practised are, I don't know, maybe 1% of the total and walking around naked in normal public places is socially shunned.

Third, Spain is BY FAR a more misogynistic country than the US and one where there's a much larger and more influential "cult of virility". It's not even close.

What's up with some American kids nowadays trying to pretend they live in some crazy mid-east theocracy and in some super backward society (a variation is "I was born in the US and omg it's worse than Iran, I suffered so much)? Soccer and basketball are my two favourite sports in the world. But one thing soccer has over western sports is the passion of the fans. Nobody has to play music or have an announcer speak in an exaggerated voice over the PA system to get the crowd involved. You'll hear fans singing songs that are unique to their team, not just "Go <insert team name>, go!"

Its simple, in football (soccer) theres is a membership sense. A lot a players identify himself with a color, with a club, with a team. Since they are children, they follow a team with high passion and fidelity. They love their team.
In NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL the fans are just fans. They pick their team by a geographic reason. They like, they support, but they dont love with heart strenght.

I'm not an "american kid", I was born in Europe. The cultures are different, Europeans are far more liberal sexually and emotionally than Americans are. For the record, I love America and wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world - just making an observation.
