Maybe he's lifting really heavy for strength because he doesn't seem to have added any mass

Imagine kd with his jumpshot and skill set but with increased athleticism and strength.. he would bully the league.

LOOK at it this way. Lebron is the best athlete in the sport of basketball ever..what really seperates him from the rest. We always here that lebron could play football which means that lebron is very powerful and has a lot of functional strength that many athletic guys did not have. Hit the weights and hit them hard..you can't go wrong.

I still stay that Hibbert adding that 25-30 pounds he was bragging about at the beginning of last season played a big part in him slowing down late in the year. I mean, yes, he's also mentally weak, but carrying around all that extra weight had to really wear him down.

just this week. post workout.

260 still overpowers 230, even with weight training. durant needs martial arts and work on his chi/qi/ki force.

Total ectomorph. He could put on a little bulk, but he's always going to be skinny unless he uses peds. The best case scenario for him is to get KG's build which is a heck of a lot stronger than he is now. It's like asking a Bulldog to out run an Italian Greyhound. The bulldog can go on a training regimen and exercise all he wants, but he's still not going to be faster than a greyhound who sits on his ass all day. It's simply not in his genetic makeup.

I think you might be over-predicting how much bulking up he's probably doing, he's not going to come out looking like Corey Maggette, it probably won't have any effect on his jumper, not even a slight one. Most likely he just gets stronger and more defined.

I think KD has hit his ceiling, all needs to do now is improve his passing and basketball IQ and help his teammates get better.

Yeah, it's funny that people who don't work out and people with amazing genetics think the average person can look like a freak after a few months of heavy lifting. I'm a true ecto with pretty much the same build as Kevin Durant I had to stuff myself like a chipmunk in order to put on any kind of weight. I gained a lot of strength and there was a significant difference in my before and after pictures, but I eventually got tired of stuffing myself with food and I accepted the fact that I'm an ecto. It's not in my genetic makeup for me to look like Corey Maggette.

I don't think anyone is expecting Durant to become Maggette  He could retire from basketball, make bodybuilding his new profession and he'd still be skinny. But I think he still has some room to put on weight on his frame. Even 10 pounds would go a long way for him.

You guys talking about Squats and powerlifting need to remember two things:

1. He's been doing that stuff AT LEAST since being drafted. OKC's a very smart organization and they definitely have those guys on a great lifting program.

2. Even lifting and eating a ton, Durant's main focus is basketball, keeping his skills sharp and getting better. That means he's doing a ridiculous amount of cardio per day. He's not your average dude lifting weights for 1 hour then going to an office job the rest of the day. He's doing 3-4 hours of cardio at least. And he's burning a ton of calories when lifting. Imagine how much food he has to take in to get bigger? NBA athletes can't afford to dirty bulk or get too heavy either - so he can't just go overboard. It needs to be a clean bulk.
