Two knee injuries in two years though.
If he was crazy to take the QO offer though can't phx technically offer him the most as a UFA?

It doesn't mean they wouldn't either just because they aren't now.
Bledsoe wants 5/80 but he's been a starter for 40 games and has injury issues.

He has not proved he's worth it

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Phoenix offered 4/48. He is trying to get more. Negotiating tactics. What is so hard to understand about that?

It doesn't make you a brat or a bad person. In your every day life, try to apply the principal that everything (within reason) is negotiable. Your life will improve.

This is a desperate move right now because Phoenix have all the power, but its still a card and you play all the cards you have. Phoenix might give him 4/52 or 4/56 just against the chance he becomes a superstar and he doesn't hold ill will against them.

If it comes down to it though, he will take 4/48. Very unlikely he takes the QO. Why rush it though.. that makes no sense.

Eric Bledsoe is losing out on a lot of money by thinking he's a damn max contract player

The RFA system can be rough on sensitive players. To be honest, I think that's what led to the downfall of Charlie Bell's career. He seemed to resent the Bucks for not offering him a fair deal, signed with the Heat, then got pissed when the Bucks matched. He was never the same player after that.

He's complaining about restricted free agency. Something that his union agreed to and negotiated. Something that got Gordon Hayward a max contract. Got Jeremy Lin his contract. Got Parsons a huge contract. RFA helps those who act fast. His agent screwed him trying to parlay team meetings into face time for himself.

It shows the inexperience of an agent like Rich Paul to gamble for too long, too hard and possibly not at the best point in time.

Well said, exactly my sentiments.

"Irreparable Relationship" - yeah, right up to the point they come to an agreement, after which they're all hunky dory again.

No news here IMO.

3.7 QO vs 4/48
12 Mill - 3.7 means 8.3 more total in the next years after the QO to break even. That means roughly 2 Million more per year. 4x14 million in one year after no one is offering this much this season is quite hard to achieve.
If he thinks he can get more than 14 million next offseason, go roll the dice.

Wouldn't you distribute the 8.3 million across the remaining 3 years, not 4?

Like 4 years at 48 mill, if you take the QO of 3.7, you need to make up 44.3 mill over the next 3 to break even when you are a FA so need to see an average of ~$14.8 mill a year for the next 3.

It depends on how much years he gets. The more years. The more security.

How much would he make on the market anyway even if he was unrestricted? I refuse to believe the market that has Lowry at $12mil and Stephenson at $9mil would put Bledsoe at max. Yes, the market for mediocre players has always been overblown because the MLE is a use-it-or-lose-it slot, but the 8-figure FA market has always been pretty slim. I believe Teague and Jennings got $8mil a year ago. Dragic and Lin got & and 8mil respectively 2 years ago. Jrue Holliday signed for $9mil IIRC. PG market just isn't all that great ever since the rule changes favored guards over bigs.

If Bledsoe wants to complain about Parsons and Heyward getting more money, he should first measure himself and realize he's not 6-7+.

Revoke the offer, force him to sign an offer sheet with another team, because only one other team can afford to pay him more than the Suns offered, then get him for cheap. That will strain the relationship. Not this normal stuff that is going on now.

Paul Rich did this plain and simple.

"Hey little buddy, your a max contract guy, and as soon as i get Lebron taken care of, you'll get that max." He simply waited too long, and all the money disappeared from the market. And as soon as Paul was ready to deal with Bledsoe, all the leverage he COULD have head market wise was gone.

The suns offered a fair deal, but Paul and Bledsoe wanted the max. Now, there is no max to be had ANYWHERE, so they have no leverage. Paul, as a stupid agent, and Bledsoe, as a young player, have no idea that if the market no longer has the money to spend, then getting the money is impossible.
