Playing defense is also part of the game and Westbrook is at least a good defender (he gambles too much) when Curry is at best an average defender and needs to be hidden most times.

It amazes me underrated/overlooked defense is once again. Just shows the NBA is right to weaken defenses to make offense easier to please the masses.

I don't think defense is being overlooked. Point guard defense is just not something that makes a large impact on games.

I would much much rather my point guard be a great offensive player than defensive player. His role is to orchestrate the offense, the center's role is to orchestrate the defense.

No he didn't. Wall dropped 30+ on Lowry twice. Rest of the Wiz just didn't show up.

just looked at the numbers. Wall outplayed him 2 games in Toronto and Lowry outplayed him 2 games in Washington, one of which Wall shot 4 of 15 with a bunch of TOs. Id post the numbers if I wasnt at work

Curry needs to be higher.

Liliard is way too damn high.

Lowry needs to be on the list.

You have a generous definition of "outplaying".. from an individual statistical standpoint, I don't know how you can say Lowry outplayed Wall 1v1 based on their head-to-head numbers. At best it was a wash.

Lowry had a very good year, but Wall is a more dynamic talent and has a greater impact on games.

Not even close. Lowry is a better leader, a better shooter, a better defender. Wall puts up more assists, but he also has a much higher USG%, and Lowry has a much better AST:TO ratio (one of the best in the league). Lowry's way more efficient (Wall is basically at league average).

Wall basically has age and athleticism on his side, and he'll definitely be a better player in the future. But Lowry had a much better year, regardless of their head-to-head matchups.

Good list, I would probably switch Lillard with Lawson though, and move Irving out of the top ten.
