PIstons are #1 a team effort to brick.. jk jk. But damn thats a silly thing to say for bogut. Every team plays as a team. IT's just some coaches have better offensive and defensive schemes.

I don't think of GSW as necessarily "team"... They pull on a lot of threes and take a lot of difficult shots. They can just back it up with high return on this high risk.

Raptors are weird imo, because if you judge them based solely on assists, the ranked 3rd last in the league in assists. But, when you watch them play, it seems like they play team basketball in so far as, the entire team knows their roles, and they distribute the scoring to whoever is cooking that night. Nobody has a problem taking a back seat. I mean, Raptors had 7 players in double figures last night with 2 guys in the 20's. 1 game it's Lou leading the way, another game Demar, or Lowry, or Valanciunas, or Ross, or Grievis.

In the vast majority of games the Raps have had 5-7 players in double digits.

So, I guess you kind of need to define "team basketball".

They do have an awkward hard to define offense. It's certainly not selfish, and the ball does move, but there is so little flow that it's hard tell a broken play iso from a called set. And yet it is effective.

whats so douchey about bogut???

I remember hearing years ago that he was a grade A ass hole.
Bogut is okay. He's a PLUS because he IS a team guy. GSW LEARNED a lesson from the Spurs.

The Griz and Raps are doing good "team" Sonetimes the Bulls, Blazers, Mavs. Bucks. Lebron is TRYING to get the Cavs there. I'd BITCHED for a damn DECADE how GSW had TALENT... yet was like a pickup game at the playground..
If it's outdoors, it's summer, you are 16... great. It ain't good as pros. NOT efficient.

Well what he said is actually true too, if that helps.

I have not seen Toronto a lot..but... what I saw is WAY more efficient and team, and balanced. They also...are WINNING now.

You can have a good roster..it terms of individual talent....and come up short. TEAM....is like a BONUS. You win games that seem a toss up. You get CLUTCH.

I was looking for this.
There was something I was confused about, I thought the triangle was supposed to be team ball, as evidenced by Knicks 2nd in passing. But all of Phil's teams have had a healthy dose of iso.

+1, Bogut is Australian, they take no f%@# back where they come from, and he's right.

Too many overrated ISO "maxed" players demanding so much money for so much BS for so long.

And everybody is jealous of the Spurs.

I'm a little sad about Bogut. We all know that he is a monster of a center, he can transform your defense, he can improve your offense, he is skilled he can pass... I think even if he is really good that injuries ruined his career.

JR Smith is more ignorant/douche than douche/douche. Bogut isn't stupid, I just don't like him. JR Smith is pretty much any bad adjective along with douche.

He came into the league bad mouthing American athletes and acting holier than thou. He acts like he's above the bs and better than everyone, yet he's actually a borderline dirty player. He has been in more altercations than average because he uses little dirty tricks when boxing out and setting screens. Watch how he plays, I'm surprised more players haven't tried to deck him out.

I honestly believe his constant injuries are karma. He's the ultimate doucebag in that he obviously has many people convinced he's a good cat.
I might be biased, and this is just my personal opinion. I just hate the dude.

Hahahahahaha I can't believe 10 years later there are still people butthurt over that comment.

For the record Bogut was asked early in his career about his first contract and he answered honestly... That he will buy a house and be wise with his money... Which is unlike the NBA culture where players blow their money on parties, friends, making rap records and buying bling.... And then retire without a cent to their names.

Was Bogut right? Absolutely 100%. Did you get butthurt and take it as a personal insult against Americans... Yeah because you have issues. I remember idiots even accused Bogut of being racist... People that overreact to that rubbish are the ones with the problem.

I do not get why people are butt hurt on this. It has been said the last 20 years the NBA is selfish ball. This is why USA basketball struggled in the early '00s.

I think people are confusing team orientated ball and passing team.

I look at team orientated ball as unselfish not worried about statistics ball. and i really put the raptors in this category. Demar even though he does do iso ball. Does not need to put up 20 shots a game or make sure he need to score 20 a day.

You can have quite a bit of isos and still be a high passing team. Alot of the Knicks isos are later in the shot clock after they've moved the ball a bit.

you need to have good shooters to play team basketball and it does not always work. memphis, for example, is playing inside out since they have the two towers and tough defense. whatever it fits your team, i guess.
