If they go through those droughs, the Warriors can catch fire and absolutely blow them out within a few minutes.

And this is where we really miss Hayward... as I imagine the plan was to stagger one of him/Kyrie in the 2nd units for this very reason. :(

I think the goal through the season is for stevens to find lineups that can eliminate the scoring droughts. Those droughs are going to be killer and teams with elite talent like LeBron or KD, can score no matter what kind of defense is played against them and will start to crush the Celtics when those droughts happen.

Once Stevens solves that scoring issue, they can for sure become a contender.

The warriors go through droughts sometime as well, and thats when everyone just gives the ball to KD and gets out of his way and he scores on like 4-5 posessions in a row, after that the team starts clicking on offense again.

Reckon come trade deadline they will look for someone to shake loose who can get their own shot to boost that 2nd unit if they don't find anyone internally

I remember those droughs back in the Celtics Big 3 days, I think its because the Celtics have always been a great defensive team, they expend so much energy on defense that they lose energy on offense for stretches of the game and resort to jump shots until they get their legs back.

Obviously im a warriors fan, but we have nothing to prove if we win or lose this game.

If the Celtics win, it will further fuel the narrative that they have overtaken the Cavs as the team to beat in the east, and I really like what they have done since that devestating Hayward injury. I like how they have rallied together. I dont view them as a threat to the Warriors, but I view them as a huge threat to the stability of the eastern conference and LeBrons legacy.

Heres to a great game for both teams, will be must see TV for sure.

P.S. The Celtics ALWAYS play us tough. They broke our 50+ game home win streak during the 73 win season.

you sound a little scared and giving a pre game excuse if the C's win tonight

No excuse. Boston has beaten the Dubs several times before. They've proven they are superior in matchups by doing so. Nothing to be embarrassed about.

Another day, another Warriors game that people are hyped about even though it'll end up as a boring blowout game. Great offense with good defense wins over great defense with semi-good offense any day for me. I'm far more excited to see CP3 return. Hopefully, the guy doesn't get injured yet again. I swear he's made of glass...

You do realize downplaying your own team all the time doesn't actually make it less stacked, right?

This isn't a game of the year candidate, the Raptors vs. Warriors was. Warriors are going to beat the brakes off these young boys man, they sweet.

Last season many posters here on realgm said that the Celtics were the Worst #1 Seed Of All Time.

This season they’re out to prove that they are a Legit #1 Seed since the Celtics traded their best player for the Cavaliers 2nd best player, drafted Tatum, and signed Baynes and Hayward who got injured and and now they look much stronger than last season.

Random event for the day.

Javale to hit 2 3's and Rozier to get into a fight with a travelling Boston fan.

It was. They were doing it all the preseason games for a reason. Now they have the same issues as the last two years come playoff time. One ball handler that can get buckets or create for others.

Stopped taking your posts seriously after you said the Raptors would beat down on the Celtics without Kyrie

And ridiculously overrating a team not only erodes any credibility you have but just makes you look like a silly punch line.

It's stuff like this that makes me dislike the conferences.

I don't care about the playoffs. I just want good teams to play each other more often, regardless of conference.
