These aren’t Hinkie picks. Colangelo has already punted them.

Most of them, yeah. I understand the Miami pick came from this past draft. Not sure what the 2nds are yet (there are a lot of them), but they could be right.

That Suns trade made me think the Sixers were back on the right post-Colangelo track with a long term view. That has certainly changed.

That's the shooting sixers needed...Hinkie just kicked a small dog though.

More flexibility for Jerry West. I can't wait to see what he does in July.

Ok i get the logic, still a bad deal from the Clippers though. This is basically Landry Shamet and 2 firsts (the 2020 first won't even be good, that 2021 first probably is top 10 i'll admit) for their best player by far. I know the plan is to go get 2 max guys and they probably do that but they could fail that (Kawhi is comfortable in Toronto, everyone will want KD, Klay most likely stays, Butler could end up staying, Kyrie could stay or go elsewhere), then what, you gave up Tobias Harris for nothing. This is basically what the Knicks did but even they prompted and told that KP wouldn't resign.

For the 76ers, they add another piece to the championship puzzle and didn't even give up anyone of value. I don't see how this isn't a win for them.

Say what you want about Harris, but he has been averaging 21PPG on a 50-42 split. Sure he's not the best defender but offensively he's amazing. I wouldn't build around him but he could have been someone which other players could have been like 'ok, he'd be a good secondary star'. I mean he's pretty young, he's only 26 so he fits the timeline of the 76ers core.

While Bullock was a very nice pickup for the Lakers, this deal will probably have even more impact on the Lakers' season.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

PHILLY with the steal

Negative, Clips with the steal. They clearly weren't going to resign him to the big contract he was looking for plus they got back expirings AND first round picks. This is a clear winner for the clippers. Going all in for two max superstars next year.

So the goal here has to be trade all these assets plus Alexander, Robinson and some other Clipper picks, plus whatever for Davis, sign Kwahi. Then Do they have room for another guy like Kemba? Or maybe trade cap space to the Grizzlies for Conley?

A big 3 of
Davis
Kwahi
Conley/Kemba would be sick.

They don't need to match. But they are not in allowed $5M difference range as the deal is currently constructed.

Unless the NBA grants Philly an exemption to play with two basketballs, I don't see how this is going to work.

No, they gave up Tobias Harris for picks and a young player, not nothing. If they don't land anybody, they also have cap space that can be rented out for more picks. You play a year in the lottery land a pick that doesn't go to Boston and try again the year after. If you aren't comfortable building long term with Tobias Harris as a max player, then this is an absolute no brainer. Hell, they just signed Blake and ended up having to flip him a few months later, because they weren't comfortable long term. It made them look kind of bad. Why not skip that step and do it now.

Tobias turned down an offer from the Clips earlier. He is gonna demand a max contract which Jerry West doesn't think is worth it. Getting these assests and freeing cap space is a great trade when Tobias is leaving this offseason.

agree with you. I feel like Sixers have got insider news that no free agent is considering signing with them this offseason and are prepared to overpay for Harris. .
