I wouldn't feel bad for Raptors fans, you could see Kawhi was leaving from a mile away but 90% of the fans had their heads buried in the sand the entire year.

Clippers trying to get his logo
Kawhi constantly referring to the team as "them" and "they" and not us, look at his interviews after the finals.
Consistently non-committal through the entire year and playoffs
His family / friends constantly saying he wont stay, there is even a video of his sister and some family friend..
Body language of team / Masa when asked about this ...

I can go on and on... no surprises here, the people whining now are the idiots who refused to see the all the signs in front of their faces.

We got a championship, first time in history. All good.

They got a chip as a consolation prize and now need to rebuild without even getting to defend their title. At least Cleveland got 2 additional years of LeBron.

Seems like non RAPTOR fans are more salty than actual RAPTOR fans. Dont feel sorry for us bruh we won a championship and Kawhi had his huge hands all over it. Nothin but love for the man. He NEVER lied to us and he never faked anything.

Yeah they traded him to the Raptors to spite him and LA. He wins a championship then goes to LA anyway

Yes, it worked out beautifully for the Raptors. Spurs franchise took a hit over this whole Kawhi ordeal when the whole time he had LA on his mind. Raptors knew what they were getting into when they traded for him.

Spurs vets like Parker turns out were right all along, he just didn't care and didn't want to be there. He played his ass off for Toronto because he had to prove his value for a contract and it worked out like a charm.

Spurs are the real victims of this whole Kawhi fiasco, Toronto took the risk and it paid off.

Who leaves a defending NBA championship team to go to a bigger market, basketball is a team sport that's a bit shallow of Kawhi to not defend the title they won because he wanted to be in LA.

Turns out all the rumors of him wanting out and to LA were true this whole time.

Spurs the real vicitms here, not Raptors.

If they took a grown man's word when he said that he wanted to go to LA, this shouldn't be a surprise or upset anybody.

If they're upset, then I'm upset at them for not hearing what he was saying.

Seems fans of other teams are more upset than Toronto fans are though. That's a little upsetting.

The two parties involved are fine and somebody else has a problem with it. That's just hatin'!

Its funny how Golden State is indirectly involved with two very important things that changed the league:

-Green getting suspended and them losing to the Cavs in 7

-Zaza injuring Kawhi

Those two things set the course for where we are at now in the league.

Jared Dudley said on Woj's Podcast that when he was on the Clippers (when they were good) it was still a Laker city even though the Lakers sucked.

Toronto showed Kawhi the time of his life and even won a championship. They deserved Kawhi more than both LA teams. Now we have to watch the Clippers dominate while chumps like Beverley run their mouth the entire time. Yuck.
NO. And their douchey fans make it easy to not feel bad for them.

Yeah, Bucks are def better than the Raps this yr. But god your team was so fun to meme.

You have more salt on that post than a Chinese take out bruh. Kawhi's ONLY promised was to do something great for the franchise that took him and man he did. Masai will do that trade over and over again without backlash from the fans.

No, they have an asterisk championship and they have Drake popping off about it.

Kawhi should never have had a positive rep in Toronto given how he treated the Spurs.

100% agree. Kawhi was never happy and Toronto and never wanted to play there. He didn’t even look happy when they won the championship. Go back and look at him on the court, he was just kind of there.

Are the Spurs fine? They are also a party to what happened. Winningest team in history, developed Kawhi from a 15th pick into a star and taught him how to play winning basketball, and he drug them through the mud so he could sell more shoes. And he “wanted to go home” my ass, he’s from San Diego which is not LA...

Why feel bad? I feel like 20-25 of the NBA's franchises would trade away 10 years of their future to win a championship, and the Raptors didn't do that.

I would feel worse if they didn't win the title. To be that close and then the guy that lead you there left would be pretty tough.

I personally would have stayed though.

That, along with Drake acting like a clown on the sidelines, makes me delighted that Toronto is now back to reality.

It's true. So many of our fans thought we were better than the 72 win Bulls, it got ridiculous! /s

C'mon, nobody thought that. We just wanted the respect that we deserved instead of having the asterisk brought up every 5 minutes.

We got a championship and we didn't have to gut our entire future. It does a hurt that he left even after all the love he got and winning the finals.

Is Kevin Durant fine? Kawhi is lucky he trusted his body over the Spurs doctors. And it's always funny to watch people give the Spurs all the credit for all the work Kawhi has done to improve himself. They helped, sure, but that's any team's job. Let's stop acting like he wouldn't be an allstar if it weren't for the Spurs. If he wanted to drag them through the mud he probably could, but I haven't seen it.

SoCal is still home bro', aint no place like it.
