I can see Wiggins working pretty well and the third scorer on that team and a better team around him. But that contract... still don't love it, then again didn't love Russell's contract either.

Wiggins is a better fit though than DLo. And the pick helps them a lot with keeping their salary in line in the future and pick up depth. Or better.

There obviously wasn't a large demand for Russell.

Realistically speaking, GSW wanted to take back an impact player under contract for the next few years, and a draft asset.

A guy like Knox, Frank, or DS JR. doesn't help them. They did not want a guy like Morris, Portis, or Randle either. They got someone they envision around their healthy lineup of :
