LeBron literally went up against a wall of defenders this entire series, GTFO saying he didn’t get the same defensive attention as Kobe. Teams loaded up on Kobe and sent more double and triple teams his way because he was a bit of a ball hog and was going to shoot over them most of the time.

LeBron will absolutely murder you if you keep doubling and tripling him, that’s why teams don’t do it.

Putting LeBron aside, record in closeout games doesn't necessarily seem like a great measure of anything.

Bill Russell lost two playoff series in his entire career, but lost 16 closeout games? I guess losing all those 16 closeout games didn't stop his team from winning series and championships.

Hypothetically, a player could win every playoff series and championship in his entire career, but have a .25 winning percentage in closeout games (if his team went up 3-0 and won in seven games every series).
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Yesterday I was lying; today I'm telling the truth.

That's because LeBron knows when to pass the ball. Easier to triple team when you know the guy is going to shoot no matter what. And let's not kid ourselves, Kobels been on teams where he's had teammates just as good.

Have you ever watch Kobe score while getting quadruple teamed? That video shows him getting blocked and missing too but it important to see the type of defense this guy had to deal with compared to Lebron.

I have. I also saw him shoot us out of more games than I could count. Give me a choice of Kobe or LeBron to build around, I take LeBron 100 times out of 100 times without a single second thought.

Lebron has had easier than anyone on that list. Wade's championship with Shaq, Dirk with Dallas, Kawhi with Toronto and even Kobe with Shaq/Gasol were all far more impressive than Lebron on a super team winning a ring. This Lakers team will be the worst team he has ever won with likely but there is no competition. All the teams that were a legit threat were knocked out (Raptors/Clippers). The west has never been weaker.

Lol, whatever. He’s still a phenomenal player on the verge of his 36th birthday, one if the 2-3 best to ever do it, who just had one of the best closeout games of all time, and I feel enormously grateful to have him on my team. Everything else is talk radio bullsh*t.

5 titles and 7 finals appearances while playing better postseason competition than player in history. Nice hyperbole, buddy.

He's had teammates that are just as good but never as many as James at one time. Lebron invented the modern superteam in the NBA (Three superstar free agents signing together). He even tried to bring Kawhi on for this team but lucky for him the West has been awful this year and his only true threats clippers/Raptors are out so it'll be a cakewalk.

Wilt, 18-17
K. Malone, 19-24

This may be the dumbest takes ever. Lebron has been on better teams than almost everyone on that list of course he'll have good numbers. I'd take Jordan/Kobe over him anyday to close out a game.

You would take other guys who were not nearly as efficient at winning to win games for you??

Who cares, 5 rings and he came through when it counted. The league is completely different now too. Kobe played during a time when players used to single highhandedly carry their team and it was awesome to watch. Jamal Murray is the closest thing we have to this type of player currently.

No he didn’t. People always blame LeBron for super teams, super teams existed all throughout NBA history and championship teams. Pierce/KG/Allen/Rondo came before LeBrons Miami team, and if it wasn’t for injuries they would of won more than 1. You keep trying to discredit LeBron for his success. To bring up that other threats are gone has nothing to do with LeBron, he took care of business, whatever other teams do is out of his control. At this point you’re just grasping at straws bud.

You realize the 'losses' you count against him come from 2 of the biggest dynasties the NBA has seen in 30 years correct?

Naw, you just forgot. Kobe was a true alpha and beat better competition on worse teams and won when the NBA wasn't so soft. Lebron just teamed up with his super friends and brought all the worst things about soccer to the NBA.

Its the way Lebron created them that people blame him for. He created his teams through free agency or by getting his friends to force their way out of their current situations which was unheard of before. Lebron created the modern superteam. Nobody has a problem with teams drafting well or trading well through their management. They have a problem when a player does it and is negotiating with other team's stars during the season. He's attempted this three times now and thankfully Kawhi told him to **** off.

What in the wild are you talking about? Kobe never single handled anything. He almost ran himself out of LA and got himself Gasol in that crossfire. He had Lamar Odom who was a notorious second half of the season player and always came to play come playoff time. Yes, Kobe was great and in some series outplayed even Shaq, but to spew out this nonsense is comical. One could even say, in the biggest game of his career, the biggest game of his life, game 7 against Boston, he was outplayed by Ron Artest and if it wasn’t for the great play of Gasol and Artest he would be sitting at home with 4 rings. But, it’s a team sport, and he had a hell of a coach for every one of those 5 championships. You need to go to sleep and rethink your strategy here, cause I’ve been watching basketball since the 90s and your weak arguments are going no where.

Not that hard when you regularly play with multiple stars every year.

But but but AD is a proven loser and the rest of the Lakers roster is trash. And on top of that the Western Conference is just so stacked.
