It's an emotional game/series/season/bubble experience, the Lakers were already celebrating since the 2nd quarter and and they wanted to get out of there after getting absolutely embarrassed.

Not a big deal, IMO.

I mean the Lakers were hopping around and hugging before the game was even over and when the whistle went they took their sweet time to celebrate too.

Nothing wrong with that but can't blame the Heat players for not all waiting for them to finish celebrating.

The Lakers are exactly like the Clippers in that regard. It's to be expected. Each convinced a bunch of mercenaries to sign on specifically because they were ring-chasing. They (the Lakers) were cheering on their own individual success of picking the right team to ride the bench on, as much if not more than they were happy with their teammates performances.

Congrats to Lebron, AD, KCP, Rondo and Caruso. Everyone else can suck an egg.

Also; It's not surprising you're tearing Jimmy down now that the series is over. Same thing your King was doing after the first quarter when he thought it was over in Game 3. You're just following his example, I can't blame you.

whos tearing jimmy??i didnt even mention his name in any of my post lol

Also if you watched the sidelines throughout these playoffs, the Lakers bench acted like clowns throughout. This has been pretty common with LeBron James led teams when they're beating other teams. I can understand team not wanting to shake hands with players who show a complete lack of respect for other teams.

"You're" was referring to the ignorant portion of Lakers fans, forgive me if I mistook you for one of those based on your so well thought out responses here. I don't have the patience to quote multiple posts where he was torn down, and further, we don't need to scour the Internet for little clips of the Lakers clown show bench celebrating and mocking, just for you to respond by calling it "cheering on their team". The proof is in the audio and mannerisms from the bench the entire series, and you'd have to be oblivious or a huge homer to not notice it.

I guess props to Kuzma too on second thought--because even though he was hot garbage for a majority of the series--at least he didn't break down and cry when I know those Lebron "I'm not mad, I'm disappointed...." shakes of the head and stares would be impossible to overcome if it was me.

It’s amazing how dead these other teams must have been that their fans don’t recognize what a team that actually celebrates each other looks like.

Clearly you have not seen the history of the JR Smith and James sideline antics in the past, which ranges from laughing at teams to outright dancing on the sidelines while a game is happening. The personalities of the Lakers players is as douchy as it gets, and their antics were very noticeable when they were winning lol.
a lot of just verbal spewing from being blinded by hatred in that. Not much bound in reality from this season however.

Sorry but I gotta call BS. What proof do you have that players were or have lost respect for LeBron during these playoffs? Also the Lakers were doing no more than other teams get off the high horse.

There is cheering and there is outward mocking, and that was outward mocking throughout. When you have a team with personalities like JR Smith, McGee, Howard and James, it's bound to happen.

they weren't mocking, that's just you hating

Yeah I haven't heard one player of an opposing team accuse the Laker bench of any taunting or anything else disrespectful. If they have then I missed it, but something tells me that poster pulled that out of his rear end.

Players can choose to show sportsmanship or not. It's not a written rule to do so. Like a couple of ppl stated earlier, the Heat just lost the finals. It's understandable they would be in their raw emotions. If they choose to acknowledge the Lakers on winning the chip, it's their right. If the Heat choose not to acknowledge them on beating them for the chip, it's also their right. It is what it is.

Its funny how if its against Lebron. Its okay to not show gamesmanship. Yet Lebron would get crucified.

Last game I forgot who made a shot and JR was near half court celebrating while game was in session. Today the ref had to give them a warning as the whole bench was on the floor before I timeout was called acting foolish

Win with class, and I'm sure the losers would be a lot more incentivized to take the loss with class.

Exactly. There was nothing more annoying and apparent than the Lakers bench throughout these playoffs, especially with no fans around. It made the douchiness even more apparent.

They were encouraged to be the loudest bench w/ the most energy and they were just that. It actually was contagious and helped the team energy throughout the playoffs, especially w/ no crowd imo

LeBron has lost a lot of Finals as his haters like to point out. Not once did he not stick around at the end of those series defeats to shake the opponents ' hands. End of story.

Very bad coming from a classy organization. Everyone congratulated the Lakers in the WC (Portland, Houston and Denver) when they advanced...

Oh, please. I have 30 years worth of receipts of the Pistons being spat on for having the audacity of not shaking hands with the Bulls.
