Trading LaVine and #4 to move up in this weak draft is an awful move for the Bulls. There isn’t a Zion, Ja, Luka, Ayton or even Trae Young level of talent/hype to be had there.
I may be amenable to trading Lauri to move up, but that would be selling low on him.
When you consider and realize that LaVine doesn't contribute to winning basketball in any way, it makes even more sense. Problem is, the Wolves already know this and the warriors have no place for him with all the other guards on roster and salary structures tight. If the bulls want to move up, a young player in rookie contract and future picks are what they have to offer. Marketen fits the bill the most for GSW. Big who can shoot to play the "five" for them.
Last s season when Lauri played small-ball 5 in Bulls he got abused very badly.
Lauri is not like Jokic or Davis or Drummond or even Embiid and he basically is defensive liability and not so good rim protector.
So how sure you are about that Lauri would be even passable 5 to Warriors.
Yes Boylen didn't do good job with using Lauri but how's Steve Kerr can he really help Lauri to become better player
and being even OK rim protector and rebounder.
