Trading LaVine and #4 to move up in this weak draft is an awful move for the Bulls. There isn’t a Zion, Ja, Luka, Ayton or even Trae Young level of talent/hype to be had there.

I may be amenable to trading Lauri to move up, but that would be selling low on him.

When you consider and realize that LaVine doesn't contribute to winning basketball in any way, it makes even more sense. Problem is, the Wolves already know this and the warriors have no place for him with all the other guards on roster and salary structures tight. If the bulls want to move up, a young player in rookie contract and future picks are what they have to offer. Marketen fits the bill the most for GSW. Big who can shoot to play the "five" for them.

Last s season when Lauri played small-ball 5 in Bulls he got abused very badly.
Lauri is not like Jokic or Davis or Drummond or even Embiid and he basically is defensive liability and not so good rim protector.

So how sure you are about that Lauri would be even passable 5 to Warriors.
Yes Boylen didn't do good job with using Lauri but how's Steve Kerr can he really help Lauri to become better player
and being even OK rim protector and rebounder.

Keep in mind the sourcing there is pretty soft (the person is openly speculating), but my guess is that Golden State and Minnesota would both be interested in a future first, and the conversations would center around the protections.

This is the same thing I was thinking. If this trade happens, I can see the Timberwolves then flip the number 4 pick for another vet.

He’s not a win-now player. Dude has regressed from his rookie season and can’t stay healthy either.

Tell me 3 good reasons why Bulls should ignore all trade offers for Lavine and Markkanen
if Karnisovas and Eversley have a chance to create more cap space to sign 2 max free-agents in 2021 free agency market.

The Bulls aren’t a destination for top FAs. They get 2nd tier guys past their prime who just wanna get paid one last time.

Warriors trade:
Andrew Wiggins
2nd Overall Pick

Bulls Trade
Otto Porter
4th Overall Pick

Billy must think Melo is going to develop like SGA.

Would be interesting to see how Melo, White, Zac and Dunn work

This is just a lie to assuage a fairly knowledgeable fan base that knows the Bulls are going absolutely nowhere as presently constituted. And when it doesn't happen, management can say, "Well, we tried."

Nobody's saying ignore trade offers, they're saying ignore bad offers like 1 and a bench player for 4 and Lauri.

Unlikely to just move up. The entire point of the article is that the Bulls might want to move up because it would be cheap for them to do so because Minny & GS are making their picks "readily available," with that reasoning it wouldn't require Lavine or anything close to that.

Also worth noting the last time the media spoke about the Bulls, they all said (including Woj) that Boylen was our coach for the 2020-21 season. That ended up being incredibly wrong. I don't think the media has good leaks inside AK's org.

I don’t see any point in moving up from 4 & and for the sake of Bulls fans I hope the target isn’t Ball

But if they’re planning to do it, would a Markkanen & Young + 4th for James Johnson & Okogie + 1st be fair?
