TBF to Wall, I think that he's partly looking like a scrub because James isn't buying in. With that being said, sometimes you can play off of adrenaline when you get back and do well but once that wears off then the reality of 2 years off really hits you. Couple that with James not believing in him is making Wall get down.

So far I noticed that Wall has struggled as a Passer when he's normally one of the best in the league. That tells me there are rust and chemistry issues. You can't blame Silas. James missed camp and showed up fat when their whole season hinged on the chemistry of him and Wall. Also I'm pretty sure that Silas has heard on the inside that James is gone no matter what so why waste time catering the system to him when Wall will probably be the lead point shortly

Yep look at his numbers I’m sure it’s hardens fault he can’t shoot or have any chemistry with Wood

You keep bringing up the first 2 games but they also won when Harden missed the game and Wall led the way. Chemistry matters, homie. Buying in matters

Don't think I've seen a quote like that before.

They are holding him hostage

Worst of all, they're even paying him over 30 million dollars a year for a contract he willingly signed. Rockets FO are scum.

Nah those selfish bastards are paying him over $40M for 8 months of playing basketball... after spending nearly a decade trading for whoever he wanted and giving him authority to do as he pleased. They're mega villains.

Seriously though, trade this cancerous choker.

C'mon now. He's a top 5 player in the league when engaged and can singlehandedly get a team in the playoffs, those type of players aren't available very often. 31 isn't very old and you have him locked up for his prime

Interesting take when they have been available pretty often as of late. Leonard and Davis have both been traded quite recently, why is this trend going to change? Is harden going to be the last star to force a trade?

You're right, market will probably be limited to teams that want absurdly dominant all-time great offensive players.

Again, they're just lining up, aren't they?

Nobody can ever question Harden's skills or accomplishments. He's an all-time great player. I just have zero respect for somebody who has basically quit. Have some respect for yourself and your fan base. At the very least, non-centers shouldn't be out here balling with tits.

Anyone who thinks Houston is holding James Harden "hostage" is a clown. The dude signed a max contract, has been catered to hand and foot in Houston, is playing in a league where stars get paid very well, and has a guaranteed contract. I completely understand athletes play by different rules than you or I, but he is in by no means being held "hostage". Hostage (in regards to sports) is when you're still on your rookie NFL deal making 900k when you're a top player at your position and a team refuses to renegotiate, hostage is when an MLB overseas player from Cuba signs a deal to get out of his situation and a team (again) refuses to renegotiate even though he's at the top of his class, hostage is what Igoudala tried to do to the Memphis Grizzlies.

I am very pro-player but come on, man... Ya'll are crazy if you think James Harden is being held "hostage"...

Why would you get flamed? What you said is the popular opinion

Because there were multiple replies being sympathetic towards Harden or did I just imagine those?...

I would hang onto him for the duration of his contract, and let him age. He has a player option in 22/23 and if he wants to test the waters when he is 33-34, then so be it.

Set an example.

Philly been balling out lately they not trading Ben. Houston can come take Kyrie and some picks off our hands though

Oh big deal they won some games they ain’t winning **** with Ben as they’re second best player. If I’m a Philadelphia fan I’d be pissed right now just wasting Embiid prime years

I don’t disagree, but from what I been reading lately on Philly, seems they rather keep that duo together. Who knows really. It is what it is. We will see eventually though cause knowing Wall and Cousin’s personalities. That locker room is certainly gonna get to the point where harden gets traded sooner than Rockets would have hoped for

Why would Houston want to screw themselves so royally for the next 3 years just to spite a prima donna non-winner?

Lakers LeBron wrote:As a Laker fan I hope that no one trades for Harden, especially not Philly, Denver, or Boston

Because right now I'd say the Lakers are the clear favorites for this season and the only thing that's going to upset that is a team going all-in with Harden

Denver with Harden is no threat. Their defense is atrocious, and it will be atrocious with or without him. They're not winning anything.

In order for BOS to get Harden, they'll have to give up at least Brown and Smart. A Tatum and Harden duo is no threat to LBJ and AD. Especially once you take into account Boston's lack of depth and their defense being worse because of giving up Brown and Smart. Plus, AD will eat Theis and TT for lunch. We've already seen what Bam did to Theis in the playoffs.

Now, Harden on Philly? That might be a threat. But two things: 1) After their starting lineup their depth is very shaky; 2) the 76ers have to get out of the East first, and MIL and BRK will have something to say.

When did this happen? Oh when his team was absolutely stacked and wade was broken down or the year before that when he wasn’t even a top 2 option on that team. Comical how people rate kawhi so high
