Devin booker getting snubbed makes no sense

Suns went from 17th to 7th in defense and Chris Paul has been a big part of that. It's one of the main reasons they're a much better team this year. Suns are still a bad defensive team with Booker on the floor. Paul > Booker

I love the fact that both Booker and Young were snubbed. They are both irritating for different reasons. Booker has a cocky attitude, often gets into trash talks and fights when he hasn't done absolutely nothing all these years to back it up. Young has pissed off the entire universe with the calls he's getting.
I enjoyed it, i don't care. Serves them right.
And yes, i do recognise that they are both insane offensive talents.

He's been good, but DeRozan has been better and is on a team that's doing better and I dont hear anyone complaining about him getting snubbed.
It's not an egregious omission by any means.
All Star selections are largely a popularity contest anyway. If you guys feel so strongly about it you should have been voting for him 3 times a day on Twitter or whatever nonsense the NBA does for the fan voting aspect of it.

The Spurs were above Phoenix in the standings before they got hit with Covid. They've also been much more severely impacted by injuries. Derozan has been a much better player on a worse team.

Also, the Suns have been above the Spurs for most of the season; cherry-picking a specific point during the season when the Suns were on a losing streak just to make a point is not a good look.

At the end of the day the Suns have the 2nd best record in the league and the Spurs are closer to dropping to the 10th spot in the West (2 games ahead of the Grizzlies) than to overtaking the Suns (3.5 games behind the Suns).

People actually arguing that the best player on the team with the 2nd best record in the league - a player of the month in a season that's only 3 months old - should NOT be an all-star is ridiculous.

Booker is the best player on the Suns. Yes, without CP3 the Suns record would be reversed. However, without Book it would be even worse than that. Book got penalized for his team being bad, and now he is being penalized for his team being good. CP3 is a difference maker, but that does not mean he is the biggest difference maker on the team.

Oh well. Those that don't watch the team obviously know it better than those of us who watch every minute.

Book should have gotten in without being a replacement. CP3 should have been the replacement player.

Kudos to Pop for making DeRozen even a consideration.
