Memphis has been drafting pretty well recently, i'll give them some benefit of the doubt. maybe they have their eye on a specific player. three players who might be gone but really fit: sengun, wagner, and kuminga. I dont see a need for a sg when you have brooks and bane already.

Kuminga won't fall past 8, Kings love Wagner. Sengun might be available

not unless Giddey develops some spot up shooting. i like Giddey, but he's much more of an on-ball guy right now, and is not an off-ball slasher type at all.

yea, I think they are ready to move forward with JJJ @ center, they also have Clarke and Tillman, might even take another big @ 10 if they really like someone (Garuba? Sengun?)

but yea, this doesn't really matter for Memphis at all, and they get an extra 1st next yr as well most likely.

Significantly downgrading at the center position while giving up your second best player? Check.

Taking on two horrible contracts? Check.

Fantastic trade for the Pelicans. I wasn't expecting them to be able to offload both of those guys this easily. Only move 7 spots back and get back the most underrated big man in the league. Griffin may have redeemed himself here.

Don't get this from Memphis' end unless they really like a player that may be available at 10. I don't see a player like that here but meh who knows. Tough giving up JV, he was their second best player. Maybe they just want to be a bit worse and collect more assets try and get another all star level player. If JV wasn't a part of their future plans I guess its not as bad as ppl are making it out to be, but def a head scratcher. They need to hit on 10 now. Maybe Jalen Johnson or Sengun, both high risk high upside players.
