Is Iverson a top 10 Scorer Ever?

This is lost on the efficiency crowd, especially all those who haven't seen him play. Have to realize he also spent the majority of his career with some of the worst starting offensive players of the generation (no other star player had a worse offensive cast, period). His efficiency immediately jumping while past his prime with a better cast in Denver (still being a 25+ PPG scorer) says everything about that.

Top 10 scorer ever? Tough to say. But I've never seen a better scorer at his size. As an aside, Westbrook would be the closest player I've seen to demonstrating as much effort as a top player on a night to night basis. The slander AI gets is wild. I don't think many of you guys understand how much harder it is to dominate in the NBA as a 6 footer, and he did that. Through the TOUGHEST defensive era (pace/rules wise specifically) of the modern NBA by the way.

Probably not. But I have a serious soft spot for A.I. He was my Jordan in a lot of ways.

I think I personally settle this by calling him one of the top 10 most skilled scorers ever, if not an actual top 10 scorer.

The fact that he's doing most of his scoring at the rim is lost on people who didn't actually watch him.

That just makes it worse, Mun! If some big man was putting up 28 shots a game to make 31 points shooting 39% ya'll would crucify him when the only difference would be he was posting up instead of using fancy crossovers to get shots at the rim.

The efficiency argument doesn't make as much sense to me when the guy's a foot smaller and 80-100lbs lighter. He's getting to the line too, so that puts your bigs into foul trouble. He generates a lot of pressure.

Sure, there are better ways. But, he's basically a normal person putting up those numbers. That's crazy to me, especially for how long he did it and his durability while doing it. It's an insane amount of abuse on a nightly basis.

Maybe top 10 flashiest but even when we didn't stress analytics, people still questioned whether his efficiency a downfall. I don't see how he's a top 10 scorer, especially when you're going to put Wilt on the list but omit a guy like Shaq.

Yeah but we're not talking pound for pound (or I guess inch by inch) scorers.
