It is an interesting debate.

Like say Steph, on a scale of 1-10 is a 10 level player and Seth is a 5, and Pau is an 8 and Marc is a 7...which combo of 15 is better at that point? I lead towards the 8 and 7, but it's all pretty subjective.
What happens when Steph goes to 11? You can't rate a unanimous MVP on the normal scale...he's historic.

Here's another compelling point ... in the case of a "tie", which kind of pairing do you give priority to .... is it the two strong brothers (and I disagree that Marc is that much weaker, just harder to measure) or the "11" and the "5".

Besides it might not be a tie, if Seth hits game winners for Luka and the Mavs roll off a couple of titles ... like I said they aren't done yet. If at some point Seth is a 6 or 7 ... if he can have a high usage season and drop 50% from 3 ... then 10 is enough for Steph ... even if by retirement he might be a 12.

i'm not an expert when it comes to boxing, but the opinion amongst boxing fanatics is mostly, that they were very selecetive with regards to whom they fought, so their records look better than they actually were (i think this goes more for the younger of the two).

I think the Ingebrigtsen brothers in track&fields weren't mentioned yet.

Edit: And if we say siblings instead of brothers and different sports, Steven Adams and his shot-put sister.

#1 is the Antetokounmpo brothers, combining for 2 MVPs, a finals MVP, a DPOY and multiple ALL NBA and Allstar selections
#2 is the Curry brothers, combining for 2 MVPs and multiple all nba and allstar selections
#3 is the Gasol brothers, who have 1 DPOY and multiple all nba and allstar selections between them.

Come one, the "combined" stat is missleading.
You can name Michael Jordan and whatever noname brother he has = and they would combine for a GOAT "best brothers" using that logic.

I guess it has to take more into account the weaker brother's achievement. So even if (?) by "combined" stat Antetokounmpo brothers win, it's still an MVP player + g-league level brother vs 2 allstars, both with rings while being major parts of their title runs etc.
As a supporting stat, the diff between Greek Freak#1 and Gasol#1 (MVP to AllStar) is smaller than the one between Gasol#2 and Greek Freak#2 (AllStar to G-league level)

Three Waugh mentions, but no Chappell mentions? Greg & Ian we’re both high level players back in the 70s & 80s, racking up over 75 test caps each. They may not have been part of Australia’s cricketing wonder years, but they were part of the teams that inspired all those kids that turned into that GOAT team.

It wasn't misleading, it was needed to make the joke work. I consider any aggravation caused a bonus.

That sounds more like the opinion of casual boxing fans, not fanatics. Fanatics know they're among the best HWs of all time. Aside from that, what heavyweight boxer could avoid both of them? It wouldn't even be possible.

I'm sure figure skating pairs/ice dancing has some notable siblings

Best baseball pairs I can think of not yet mentioned. All were pitchers.

Gaylord and Jim Perry -- both won Cy Young Awards. Gaylord won one in each league.
Dizzy and Daffy Dean -- see Wikipedia excerpt below.
Pedro and Ramon Martinez -- Ramon was an All-Star once and also threw a no-hitter.

Dean played several years of baseball alongside his better-known brother, Jay. Because of his brother's nickname, "Dizzy", Dean also had a nickname, Daffy, but this did not reflect his personality as he was considered quiet and serious. The nickname was mainly a creation of the press.[1]

During his rookie season (at the age of 22), Dean pitched a no-hitter on September 21, 1934 in the second game of a doubleheader against the Brooklyn Dodgers. Dizzy (who had pitched a three-hit shutout in the first game) would say afterwards: "Shoot! If I'da known Paul was gonna pitch a no-hitter, I'da pitched me one too." Paul finished the year with a 19–11 record to help St. Louis win the National League pennant. Combined with his brother becoming the only NL pitcher in the live-ball era to win 30 games, the brothers bettered Dizzy's prediction that "me 'n' Paul are gonna win 45 games" by four wins. In the World Series, he and his brother won two games apiece, combining for a 4–1 record, 28 strikeouts and a 1.43 ERA, as the Cardinals took the series against the Detroit Tigers in seven games.

The following year, Dean won 19 games again. He got injured, however, and pitched ineffectively for the rest of his career.

Lonzo and LaMelo have a real shot at becoming the best NBA brothers.
