GOATS gets free passes everywhere, much like Jordan is mentioned in any forum.

Yeah, I just read that. Apparently the bitcoin is worth about 63,000 dollars - not too bad.
Brady also said that Byron (the fan) should have held onto the ball longer, and that by giving it back when he did, he lost all of his leverage.

lol what a douche

Yeah that's not really bad plus he came out of it as the "good guy" even though some may be clowning him for "losing" all that value.
I'd imagine more and more stuff will be given to him too as this progresses, possibly being allowed to hang out in the locker room or in the bench for some games...

Assuming the ball was actually his property, he was entitled to hundreds of thousands of dollars just so long as he didn't shoot himself in the foot by throwing his windfall away (which he did)

I'm not disputing it was his property. I just find it kind of gross that people are saying he should be bilking the team and players out of as much money as possible. It's a strange reaction to what was a kind gesture by Mike Evans initially.

1) Why value so much a ball from a so arbitrary statistical accomplishment. I bet the value of the 601st or 599th ball will be much lower.
2) How can you prove that the ball is the special one? In Brazil, the man who was given the ball probably would sell it to about 60 people (logically, he would buy identical balls and sell these balls as if it was the special one). Every buyer would not entirely trust the seller and the price would not pass U$500.
