I remember when Atlanta drafted DerMarr Johnson and it was reported that he turned down any advice from Dominique Wilkins. I later confirmed it with Nique when I asked him.

OT, but I DO like that jersey Lamelo is wearing in the OP. Quite unique...

Lavar is right

Yeah? So if you were young and in the NBA and chatting with Michael Jordan and getting advice from him was an option, you would not be interested?

are you serious? mjs son had advice for 365days and couldnt make it. hes a loser man. even hornets was a loser untill lavar saved them. lavar can claim he would have destroyed mj given how superior his 3 sons are.

Lavar is right

"produced" is a word for it.

Guess we should ask the Lopez brothers dad what he thinks about playing in the NBA too, he even produced a champion!

I'll still never forget meeting this guy when his son played for Spire and I was a videographer for the team. He told me "get as much footage of my son as you can, he's the only one that matters on the team".

Like, breh. The **** is wrong with this man?

I don't know why some people seem to be upset about this. The post title made me laugh, I remembered Lavar's appearance on first take and laughed, then moved on with my life.

jordan has been horrible GM, so I can see why a player wouldnt seek advice from him, the game has changed a lot compared to the 90s

One of the funniest performance artists of our time, and some of y'all are missing the joke. When the cameras are on, he's in kayfabe.

Lavar strikes me as an incredible father. You can tell he would run through brick walls for his kids.

Agreed except I don't understand why he would take a shot at his son's boss (Jordan).

Unless Jordan is in on the joke, which he probably isn't.

Sometimes Lavar says things for his own sake, I think. Maybe he's trying to stay relevant.

I don't think it's the nicest thing to do as a dad, even though he is trolling/joking.

Because he's massive and looks like he'd smash some folks. Seriously, he's 6'5" and built like a defensive end. It'd take a dude like Oakley to shut him up and those are few and far between.

Spot on. He's been so bad that you have this opinion despite, ya know, him never actually being a GM.

JoRdAn hAs nOt beeN our Gm. Lamelo in multiple interviews has stayed he speaks to Jordan and calls him "Unk". It's just Lavar being an idiot as usual, and why Lonzo distanced himself from him.

We'll never know how his career could have turned out after that car wreck. That being said you never turn down advice from a living legend like Nique.
