With an even better outcome! Didn't think MI was going to pull it out but they really played well in the last 4-5 minutes.

Yeah, I was pulling for Michigan since one of the teams AZ lost to was Tennessee and there was a possiblity they could meet again in the Elite 8 if both kept advancing.

Ehh. He stayed in school to show he could shoot from outside. And he can. But I don’t think anyone’s real excited about him as a prospect. Probably entering this year, probably getting drafted, probably not doing too much. He was born 20 years too late, just like our guy Luka Garza.

Why the hell is St Peters and Murray St on CBS while Gonzaga and Memphis is on TBS...I've never used this emoticon, but

Chet supposed to be a number 1 pick? I’m not seeing it. Emoji bates seems like the better prospect. That sort of slow foot speed lanky tall 7 footer isn’t a good fit for the nba. He’s like a smaller slower less athletic Porzingus. And likely gonna be as injury prone cuz he’s gonna have to over exert the max of his limits.

Will the Zags be able to come back on Memphis?

Well I understand CBS wants to show the news but they could have scheduled the Gonzaga game earlier in primetime.

Actually come to think of it they obviously probably assumed it was going to be Kentucky in that game but St Peters pulled off the huge upset...and of course that makes sense given that Kentucky has a way bigger following than Gonzaga, and of course Gonzaga is playing in Portland anyway, so the game isn't that late in their time zone.

I pull for upsets too but of course the Zags made comeback pretty quickly.

This is my first time watching Holmgren. Small sample size, but I'm not impressed. He continues to get rebounds ripped out of his hands. That'll happen even more in the NBA. Memphis scoring a lot inside. Holmgren needs to bulk up to be successful in the league, but if he bulks up, will his knees, ankles, and feet be able to take the load?
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

Yeah figures the first time I make a concerted effort to watch a college MM game for Chet in particular he looks anemic.

I get the impression that Chet never bulk up and be like Shawn Bradley in his career, and yes I know they don’t play alike, but the guy is so thin.

I think people are expecting Holmgren to be something he's not. He is more Myles Turner than Kristaps Porzingis.

Is Gonzaga the Duke of the West coast? I feel like every year they have 3 dudes that look the exact same who are skilled guys with a headband in their hair.

Their have a type is what I'm sayin

I remember when they were the one double digit seeded team that no one wanted to play now they are a year after year power with studs. Few is also a good couch but they have yet to win it all. He has to eventually win it all.

And Holmgren looks to have a lot of potential. Changes so many shots and blocks a lot as well. His defensive advanced stats are off the charts; think he led the nation in defensive rating.

I'm a believer.
