Get a center who shoots more than 39% FT, get a SG taller than 6’0, get some guys who play defense.

Yeah, you basically summed it up.

They need some veteran leadership. Too much Harlem basketball show going with this team.

Charlotte is about to get very expensive if Bridges commands a max deal. RJ Washington get paid next summer and LaMelo the summer after that. While I really like Rozier as a player, he's making A LOT of money for a 4th option who is more of a combo guard than a pure point guard. At best he's a good 3 point shooter/on ball defender who can be your secondary ball handler. Long story short, I don't think you want to have all 3 of Rozier, Bridges and Washington locked into long term deals in the high teens or higher range, and Rozier is likely the odd man out.

I'd guess the Hornets are hoping that Sochan and/or Williams slips to them assuming they do not move up in the lottery. Echo everything everyone else was saying. If both Williams and Sochan are still on the board at 13 not sure who they take.

We are desperately hoping the Pelicans win tonight which would give us a 15th pick. Then we could package picks to hopefully nab whoever we want in the mid lottery

Karate Diop wrote:No Hayward was a huge loss, but quite frankly I don't know you can rely on him to be healthy... The Hornets need some more maturity. Whether that's from guys growing up or some productive veterans doesn't really matter, but they should be careful not to try and shortcut the process.

This is the thing, a healthy Hayward is the best F.A. the Hornets have ever signed and well worth the money. A constantly injured one is a bit of a nightmare in that he inflates the win total, but isn't there when you need him most.

I wonder if rather than trade him at a steep discount, they'd consider making him a sixth man to keep him available. I'd attach picks to Oubre, Plumee, etc., and get a center/wing.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Your best player absolutely determines and sets the tone of your team.

Therefore, Charlotte will be a fun team to watch and never play defense. That was the choice they made picking Lamelo.

It's going to be interesting to see how much they are willing to pay Bridges. If they overpay him, they lower their ceiling. On the other hand, he's such an exciting fit with Ball. If they can get out from under Hayward's contract, they should be able to afford a little more support than they have now. I think their GM and coach are both mid-tier. No reason necessarily to fire anyone, but they're not great either.

LaMelo is a better defender than Steph Curry and Trae Young were at the same age (and taller with more length too)

Welp, Hornets will have 2 top 15 picks in the 2022 draft. Pels gave up their first fir making the playoffs. Stinger? Devonte Graham has all but fallen out of the lineup for them and has been surpassed in the rotation by an undrafted rookie.

Imo they need a new coach. And why did Bouknight barely play all season?
They should resign Bridges and try to trade Hayward and Rozier to shave 50 mil off the cap
