why do celtic fans hate kyrie so much?

I was more upset about his play in the bucks series than the “great promise” which he promptly walked back pretty soon after.

I hate him in the basketball sense tho not in an actual human sense like say tyreek hill or Greg hardy.

Dude is a sorcerer out there tho he was pretty great today but I was still happy he had the ball at the end instead of Kd.

One of the sadder points about Kyrie is he does have a leader's personality: assertive, charismatic, engaging, confident. Most people, including great players, don't have it. But he has no wisdom whatsoever.

So his leadership is likely to be highly destructive. He's as likely to lead a club into dogging the regular season or not getting vaccinated as doing the things to maximize title opportunities.

No, but its creative and funny. There are a couple of lines in there that should make it absolutely clear that it is not real.

There are a lot of reasons why Cs fans hate him, but their main gripe is that he absolutely bombed in the Bucks series in 2019 after spending all season (and offseason) being smug about how he elevates his game in the playoffs, and being condescending to his young teammates by saying they don't know how to win. Celtics fans, or really any rabid fanbase, just won't stand for that kind of ****.

I just have to say Im enjoying everything about this from both sides. I love seeing the Boston fans just giving Kyrie complete crap all game long. And I flat out love seeing Kyrie just flipping the bird to the fans mid game over and over again. Its the playoffs and it made for one entertaining game.

I hope the Boston fans give Kyrie even more crap next game, and I hope we continue to see Kyrie giving it back. That was unbelievably entertaining to watch. That felt like ECF atmosphere, not a 2 vs 7 game 1 of the playoffs kind of atmosphere. I much prefer this kind of back and forth, over the stopping the game to kick out fans for heckling.

He quit on us in the playoffs.

In his first year here, we went to the ECF without him. Then in the 2nd year here he quit on us against the Bucks and caused us to lose the series. Then he left.
