Re: Zion looking good
Nobody here is pretending to be a scientist but it's hard to imagine not damaging something with all that mass. People are not complaining because they're unhappy with the looks, it's the function that is worrying, especially with star players missing games with injury left and rightUcanUwill wrote:Looks good to me. I also made fat Zion jokes, but some people are so stuck they would call him fat if he came here looking like Robert Patrick in T2.

Re: Zion looking good
He looks a lot better. I hope he can get to a good weight and play. This league is more exciting with a healthy Zion.

I'd say 60 + playoffs would be a major step forward with many of those 22 being load management games rather than due to injury. If he just plays 50 then misses 30+the playoffs due to injury that isn't really a success.

A healthy Zion is scary for the rest of the league.

im literally the exact same weight I was at 18 and I'm a lot older than Zion
You think that's a normal trajectory???
its definitely not the "normal" trajectory in America. the "normal" trajectory for Americans weight gain over time is not a scale you want to be operating on as a professional athlete
Given the "freshman 16" from 19 to 22, I'd say most of my college friends were 5-10 pounds lighter once they realized they can't eat fast food and drink every night like we did in the dorms. We weren't college athletes, I get that, but yeah a good portion of college kids gain weight when they leave home and then realize they'd rather not get fat as hell and fix it to some extent. And then we get older and....well that's when things go crazy. But not at TWENTY FREAKING TWO!

What’s he going to do? Punch them… get sued and pay out cash or get criminal charges… naw he’d have security remove them and go about his business.
Why would he punch someone? Have you guys ever met a guy who was obviously over weight who got sensative over something of obvious? Guys call themselves fat all the time. It's not even remotely an insult to 99.9% of men.

Usually when someone says you wouldn’t say that to their face (especially in a sporting environment) it’s because their indicating you’d be scared of a physical altercation.

But this is calling a dude fat...why would a dude EVER do that? That's kinda my point...this isn't an offensive thing to men.

Eh I’ve met plenty of guys that had body issues both fat or in great shape. You’re taking this way way to literal man.

He looks like a body builder during off season.
Would you talk smack to a body builder during off season?
Yeah, i would. No joke: Bodybuilder in regular always call themselves "fat" in the off season
which is true if you are comparing your on stage form (around 4-6%) with your off season (15-20%).

People still think Zion is heavier than prime Shaq despite being like 7 inches shorter and obviously much smaller in terms of mass lmao.
Can't wait for draft and next season.

You guys want a grown adult to look like how they looked in college ??
Does that make any sense to anyone ?
As if most people in college are not his age. Or older.
Did that post make any sense to you?
He's not in college, he's a professional athlete. How many professional athletes look like how they look in college. It's absurd.
Between the ages of 18 n 22 you expect to not look physically different.
Does that make sense to you ??
It does make sense to me, yes, thank you. He is not even 22 you know? Not being in college anymore at the the age of not even 22, will not change the fact that he is not even 22. Of course you can act like, he is not in college, therefore is is already 30 just to try to fake a point, BUT that still wouldn't change the fact that he is only not even 22. College-age, if you will.
