Okay, how would you do 8 divisions? I guess you could break up the Texas teams and have Memphis, New Orleans, Houston, and San Antonio as one division and Dallas, OKC, Phoenix, and Vegas as another division but I was trying to do it without splitting up the Texas teams.
That’s why I think 4 divisions of 8 makes more sense, and you’d have Memphis, New Orleans, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, OKC, Denver, and Utah all in one division.
The closer the teams more chance that the avg fans can do home and away games...so location matters...
In dc we just get on Amtrak and see Knicks, Boston and Philly games...I would drive to Charlotte and cheap flights to the ATL...let’s go
Minnesota should be the team that moves to the East. Look at the map you posted. Minnesota right now is in the same division as Portland, when it’s right next to Milwaukee and Chicago. Meanwhile Memphis is not that far away from New Orleans, OKC, Houston, Dallas, or San Antonio, and it’s over 1,000 miles away from Miami.
East: Toronto, Boston, New York, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Washington, Charlotte, Atlanta
South: Miami, Orlando, Memphis, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio
North: Indiana, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit
West: Portland, Sacramento, Golden State, Lakers, Clippers, Phoenix, Utah, Denver
Honestly, they should contract two teams. Then take two more teams and move them to Seattle and Vegas.
