Great season by the Celtics, I am very happy all things considered even though today's outcome stings in the moment. We lost 2-4 in the NBA Finals yet some people pretend like this team sucks. I expect us to be a strong contender next season, there is no reason to fundamentally change anything. Some small tweaks and some internal growth may be enough to get us over the bump.

Am I going to spend the next few weeks in every single Warriors thread whining like you? Absolutely not.

Why would I even be salty? You realize your team lost. If anything I m glad I got spared the heartbreak of losing the finals. But hey keep on insulting guys.

Insulting? What are you talking about?

You’ve been in every Celtics related thread trolling and labelling pro Celtics posts as homerism. Haters gonna hate.

Exactly what I said all series.

Talented team but very dumb. Just really stupid mistakes and inability to read the game.

We need a high level IQ guy and I’m looking at Tyus Jones as that guy.

IMO if Boston can get Tyus Jones he should start for them. Not a big offense-creator but can run an NBA offense, make open shots, play very good defense and hardly ever turns the ball over. Either shift smaller with Tatum at PF and only 1 big or bring Smart off the bench.

The tricky part is that it would have to be a S&T, which would hard-cap Boston (and Memphis would have to agree to).

I doubt they want Beal. Doesn't fit their team with his lack of defense.

Perhaps Mike Conley from the Jazz?

Hope you can convince Rubio or Tyus Jones to sign for the MLE?

Yep. I'm also interested to see what Udoka can do with the offense. He very clearly got the defense in shape, next challenge is making the offense more elite.

Conley looks done and I’m not sure I want Rubio at 31 coming off an ACL tear unless he’s willing to sign for cheap.

The killer was the lack of real playmaking for the Celtics. Tatum did an admirable job trying to be that player but couldn’t fet there. Maybe if Rob Williams was full health they could be a championship team but, as a Sixers fan, I’m can’t do the whole “if we were healthy” thing.

I call this a successful season, Celtics have been on an upwards trajectory for years and they have more improvement to expect with this core, I mean they're just entering their prime. Well done, run it back.

Improve depth, get a lead playmaker so Tatum and Brown can do less and just hope Horford and Timelord don’t breakdown

Tatum and Brown are forwards... they should not handle the ball that much to begin with... smart is not a sure hand either...
If they had a prime Kyle Lowry, this series would have been another story

Celtics fans know their team better than any of us, but I would like to congratulate Celtics fans on a great season. Your team played extremely tough and as a Warriors fan I was not confident your team wasn't going to catch up until very late in the 4th quarter.

Robert Williams is an absolute beast. Tatum and Brown are great players. Smart is a great defender. I think Boston can use a true point guard and a microwave scorer like a Lou Williams or a player along those lines. Maybe that is 1 really good player, or 2 different players, but I think that's all they were missing this year.

But with the guys you did have, they played extremely tough and competed the whole way. Very encouraging for such a young team. Good luck next year.

Keep this team together.
All this team needs is for Curry or Wiggins to get injured and there is a 20% chance that one of Curry or Wiggins will get injured which at which point the Celtics become the Championship favorites. Celtics are still improving. They could not beat the Bucks with Middleton this year but by next year I expect the Celtics to be good enough to be able to beat the Bucks with Middleton and any team other than the Warriors and Grizzlies and maybe the Pelicans if Zion plays very well.

See you back in the finals next year Celtics. Nobody in the East will beat these Celtics.

great effort. great defensive team. curry goat shooter. hard to stop. poole ridiculous as well. Wiggins xfactor. tatum came up short today. started out hot, but fell off. i dont think he's as good of a player as ppl think. def a perennial allstar, but not an mvp caliber player. think star vs superstar. jalen brown is closer imo. not as gifted. but aggressive. coordinated. just inconsistent at times. struggles to finish around the rim, especially when he's tired. hats off to the warriors defense. the glove 2.0 was sick, as was draymond, especially tonight. wiggins as well. the celtics need a pure shooter. marcus smart is way too streaky to be putting up as many 3s as he does. add an elite shooter and run it back
