You know, I agreed with you during the draft, but now looking at that last picture, I have to change my mind.

A lot of those guys look sharp. Everyone in the 2022 picture wearing black looks good. I can see why the more brighter colors throw you off, especially Paolo, but I think the rest look good for the most part.

I think you guys are forgetting these guys aren't business men in the sense that you are thinking of. They are entertainers, and this is their red carpet moment. And most of them are doing it for the same reason, to build a following or brand.

1. Basketball players are outside of soccer players the most marketable athletes in the world to the mass audience. Branding is important.
2. These guys aren't finance bros on Wall Street or tech dorks in the bay. The former wears high end business suits because that is their culture. The later dress down in ill fitting garmets because that is their culture. Basketball players belong to the entertainment and music culture much more than Wall Street.
3. Why do people want them to dress like civilians? I enjoy having artists and entertainers in society who can live differently.

Exactly. It's a bunch of basketball players preparing to get paid huge sums of money to entertain people. They shouldn't dress like frickin' I-bankers.

I actually prefer the 2nd picture by a lot. Literally almost everyone in the first photo needs to go to a tailor.

to be fair I can't see how those pants are cut in pic 2 at the bottom. At the top, they all need their pants an inch or 3 shorter. But if the bottom group are all showing their damn socks....oh lord...no

And basketball fans are hypocrites on this. We get so much whining about guys who dress outlandishly and have loud personalities but they are the ones fans watch. The ATGs with somber personalities, Kareem as example, were box office poison.

After Pat, Tim Duncan was my favorite and he might as well have been wearing grocery bags most of the time.

There's some ridiculous **** people wear but those draft outfits were mostly pretty fun.

Only reason I prefer 1st picture is that was my young adulthood and it reminds me of summers that never ended.

Why do the dudes look so much more feminine nowadays? Also I bet in 20 years the style from 2022 will look completely silly

in the great scheme of things I obviously don't give a s*** about this.
but I used to like how this was treated like a special event, like graduation or a wedding, when guys tried to somehow look more serious co pared their normal selves.
I never wear suits anymore at work as well, but I do it in some very special formal occasions in sort of a form of reapect towards that specific event.

Once again, who cares? just messing around and making fun of those millionaires

I think classic suits almost always look better than some of the more colorful, unusual styles, but Calvin Murphy, Walt Frazier, Craig Sager, etc have for years worn far more outlandish outfits than we saw last night.

As long as they don't have cuss words on their clothes (IE Conor McGregor's "f you" dress suit) nor exposing their genitalia, they can dress however they want.....unless there is a suit and tie dress code like a club in Vegas

Seems like this guy is mad all of these dudes don't have buzz cuts and wear ill fitting clothing because that must be the true definition of being 'masculine'

Yeah.. Happy that Eras over with.

They literally look like little kids wearing their dad's hand-me-downs. Heinrich looks like he's going to his confirmation or something.

Hell, as much credit as Jordan got for being a sharp dresser, I always thought he looked bad just because of the terrible fits he wore. I can't find it but there used to be a blog dedicated to all the insane clothes he wears.

Forget the suits: I thought the most ridiculous thing from last night was Holmgren's necklace. Guaranteed he looks back on that in 10 years like WTF??? But then I've never been a jewelry guy.

Otherwise, as somebody who used to have to wear suits for work, I was always jealous that women get free reign to wear colors and patterns whereas it's semi-taboo for men. It's a fun way to express your sense of style and originality.

I loved breaking out a plaid jacket or seersucker suit to change things up, and without fail people would freak out over it, usually dudes who were buying their **** straight off the rack at TJ Maxx.

The real issue is why these guys don't have people reminding them in 20 years these videos and photos will still be around and people will laugh at them. Just get a traditional medium fit suit, normal shirt, and a tie if you want and call it a day. Now MJ...man likes baggy comfortable fits...he never changed. Good on him.
