Think he’ll be better than expected. If Lakers somehow manage to get rid of Russ then they would have had a successful off-season all things considered

So should we go with "Westbench" or "Restbrook"?

Their current depth chart:
PG: Westbrook | Schroeder | Pippen (TW)
SG: Beverley | Nunn | Lonnie | Christie
SF: LeBron | Reaves | Brown
PF: Davis | JTA | Swider (TW)
C : Bryant | Jones | Gabriel

It's actually reasonably balanced except paying for Lonnie as an 11th man seems silly. Though Lonnie is backing up Beverley and Nunn, both seem to be injury concerns.

They have 1 more vet min deals to give out too. Thinking maybe they choose Griffin.
Gabriel is non-guaranteed as well if they want to add a buyout later in the season.

As a Laker fan, it's tough to watch. Dude just seems like he's winging it out there. There's no plan, no vision, no continuity. He just cobbles rosters together and hope for the best. It's a great value signing but if you slot guys at the position the have mostly played in their careers, it looks like this:

Jones, Bryant
AD, Gabriel
Lebron, JTA, Brown Jr
Walker, Reaves, Christie*
Westbrook, Beverly, Dennis Nunn

0 balance. Weak shooting. No length. Void of 2 way wings. Your 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th best players all play the same position.

Fire Ham will be trending by Christmas too....he'll just be the next one to blame.

It was a risky job to take for Ham. It's the highest pressure job in the league no matter the trajectory of the team but with these trash rosters Pelinka is building, it's an uphill battle to get to the uphill battle.

Maybe Robbie has a plan but if this is roster opening day, it's 6-10 seed if everything goes right. Nothing ever goes right so more like a play in squad. Not ideal to coach LeBron and AD to the lottery your 1st year on the job.. his fault or not. However, I think if that's the case, Ham stays and Pelinka finally gets the axe. Enter Kurt Rambis.

Why on earth didn't Dallas sign Schroeder.

Dallas lost two pgs in Brunson and Trey Burke, and decided to leave that position unattended.

Frank Nataklina is currently the back-up PG.

How tf does that make any sense to the Mavs. If the Mavs intend on playing Dinwiddie as a starter, how do they go into the season with no back-up PG.... I'm so flippin confused. This is with Kids, a former PG as the head coach. WTF

Brick surrounded by two PG's who talked **** about him ...LeBron who publicly shunned him...and a fanbase who will no doubt boo him opening night

To me Denis is the National Lampoon's Rondo. The regressive version of Reggie Jackson. He's always shown flashes, but nothing that says this is our guy. LAL's previous offer was that mind-blowing. He's A+ at this price, but I still wonder if he can string two good games together.

That’s a steal. Iam shocked other teams hadn’t signed him like the Mavs as pointed out.

I like Schroder and rumor's suggest Poeltl could be had tht could balance out the roster; think they'd be interested in Westbrook and 2xfrps for Poeltl and Richardson? I slotted Reaves at the 1 as he played mostly PG in college but in todays positionless game, whatever works at the time goes, I guess. He did pretty good I thought when he had the chance with the Lakers.

PG - Dennis Schroder, Kendrick Nunn, Austin Reaves, Scotty Pippen Jr. (TW)
SG - Patrick Beverley, Lonnie Walker IV, Max Christie
SF - LeBron James, Jason Richardson, Troy Brown Jr., Cole Swider (TW)
PF - Anthony Davis, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Wenyen Gabriel
C - Jakob Poeltl, Thomas Bryant, Damian Jones

Yeah but 2.6 million is still a lot. I doubt Kareem got that in a single season.
