This is like the fourth time this year (not season, year) the Lakers have been denied game winning free throws.

its just been egregious this season; especially against the lakers..

the league must be trying to say something.

Yeah the league wants the small market Lakers with one of the least popular players of all time to flounder….

I don't agree with the conspiracies but I take it you didn't watch the game tonight. The Celtics had about three soft calls in a row during crunch-time, including an iffy and-one to tie the game. Lebron was absolutely hacked and the refs swallowed their whistles. You can't blame Laker fans for their incredulity. Imo there's an implicit bias against Lebron because of how big and strong he is, if he's not accentuating contact the refs are likely not going to call it.

I watched the game.

Teams get unlucky with the whistle sometime.

Celtics have had a few games this year with bad calls go against them. Isn’t some conspiracy.

It’s absolutely comical as well when we are talking about the **** Lakers. Literally the league’s love child for the last 30 years.

We going to forget about some of the Shaq Kobe Lakers reffing performances?

i've watched all the 4/5 games where the lakers lost due to non-calls in the last few seconds.. with the NBA admitting they made mistakes in the non-calls.. all within a span of 3 weeks... cant blame me if I find it awfully suspicious..

This is basically what homecourt/field advantage is. Across all sports, officials are inherently biased for the home team, for obvious reasons. On top of that, they're going to screw up just by virtue of being human beings. So all the conspiracy talk gets tiring when we have a much more obvious explanation: basic human incompetence. Players are going to dribble the ball off their foot and miss layups, and officials are going to blow calls.

You just hope they don't blow the blatantly obvious ones in critical situations and that obviously didn't happen tonight, and that's where the frustration comes from. Especially when it's like the third or fourth instance where it's happened recently.

Refs have always been afraid to call fouls on last second shots because it can have such a drastic impact. They are scared of that one time they badly **** up.

Same reason they ignored a blatant foul on Jimmy Butler at the death a few weeks ago in my
Opinion.

I apologize.

But I’d like to point out, that the refs in general have been the worst they have EVER been this season.

All teams have been on the bad end of a ref-stick this season… that’s an atrocious call, 100% agree.

I have to say, the “Flagrant 1” on Brogdon against Westbrook evens out this particular call.
