I think that Griffin is gonna get the Milwaukee job because Giannis wants him. There's like a butting of the heads in Milwaukee, from what I'm being told, because youve got the owner, you've got the GM, youve got Giannis. They wanna keep Giannis and they wanna keep Giannis happy. Adrian Griffin is his choice. That's who he wants.

Interesting, I wonder what their connection is. Griffin was an assistant in Milwaukee in the pre Giannis days.

Suns plan to interview Fernandez and Vogel on Friday: https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2023/05/suns-to-interview-fernandez-vogel-over-next-couple-days.html

Just wanted to mention it because Shams and Woj had conflicting reports on whether Vogel is among the finalists or not.

A month ago it was said that they had three finalists (Charles Lee, Kevin Ollie, Jarron Collins): https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2023/04/charles-lee-kevin-ollie-jarron-collins-to-get-second-interviews-with-pistons.html

Apparently, Troy Weaver really wants Ollie, but he does't have much support elsewhere in the front office. We also know that Monty said "No thanks."

That's basically the gist of it. Reports suggest Arn Tellem is against Ollie and he seems to have Gores's ear. I hope we go with Charles Lee but he's involved in a couple of other interview processes so maybe he's waiting to see how those play out first. Jarron Collins seems to have fallen off the radar.

Bulls should have been near the top of that list

The Detroit Pistons had initially planned to pursue Monty Williams as head coach had they won the lottery with the opportunity to select Victor Wembanyama, and sources tell Marc Stein that they followed through with that plan even though they dropped to No. 5.

Detroit's plan was not successful as Williams has reportedly turned down the opportunity.

Williams is owed over $20 million over the next three seasons with the Phoenix Suns, giving him the opportunity to be picky with his next coaching job.

The Pistons reportedly have narrowed their coaching search to Kevin Ollie, Jarron Collins and Charles Lee.

MARC STEIN/SUBSTACK

For the Pistons, low-key good news. We should be looking for long-term development, not high-profile ego management skills

Sad. I was hoping for Collins, but he seemed to have the least traction.

If that happens Embiid won’t last past 20 games the way Nurse rides his players in the regular season

Doc Rivers just doesn't have the voice for broadcasting.
AKME? More like MEAK with how they're afraid to make a move to push us in one direction.

Well, he's 0/2 now so you'll probably never hear of him again.
