How does a top 8 pick, 4 year college pro, not get playing time for 3 years? If he were actually any good, he would have played and gotten opportunities.

Austin Reaves went undrafted and somehow became a starter on a contending team within 2 years. What’s Obi’s excuse? What’s the Knicks excuse for drafting another bust again?

Very simple. Thibs loves Randle, hates Obi. Randle gets unlimited leash, plays lazy on D, no effort, stat padding scrub. Obi gets the shortest leash possible. One mistake and he'd get pulled every time.

Which has always been a head scratcher to me. Randle is the polar opposite of a Thibs type player, yet he gets Thibs type minutes

Love the fit of Indy’s roster. Every player matches perfectly with the others … like for example, Toppin playing alongside Turner for stretches so he can attack basket - check, Toppin with Haliburton for pick & roll - check.

Pacers will get Top 4 seed.

Indy Will be play in team at the very best.

The odds point to "play-in team" but I think they'll surprise. Chemistry & fit matters. They're gonna gel like the Kings did last season in my opinion; Haliburton is gonna be in the MVP race (like Fox was this past year) & all the shooters are gonna feast. It would actually be less surprising than the Kings too since the Pacers at least were a .500 team, a little above even, for half of last season before injuries stalled them. The Kings meanwhile showed no signs the season before.

Toppin is exactly the sort of player you want to grab when you have a spacing center like Turner.

Yeah Obi was so good, he gets traded for a couple of 2nd rounds after being drafted at 8 over Hailburton.

Yeah and majority of Knicks fans are pissed off that is all we got. Its because he had an altercation with Thibs in playoffs, plus Knicks trying to clear cap space right now.

Clearing cap space on someone with a rookie contract, while not trading Randle who has a much bigger contract…after all the good players just got signed already?

Toppin's having a coming out party in these finals and overall play-offs.

Rick C has utilised him and his role to perfection.

He was never getting a good go of it at the Knicks under Thibs, but what must be extra galling is the Knicks gave away him to a bitter and historic conference rival for absolutely peanuts, and he has played a pivotal part in the Pacers one win away from the championship.

Indy have done amazingly well building their team with these bargain basement deals, they got Nesmith from us, but that ultimately translated into us getting Jrue Holliday and a ring, so I am happy with how that panned out.

All these core pieces they picked up (aside from Pascal who is worth every cent) from other clubs are on very good, team friendly contracts too.

Many other front offices (regardless of the size of their market) should take a leaf out of how Indy have built this team, and yes I am talking referring specially to Philly and Morey !

I don't know about averaging points in meaningless regular season games but 20 points in 23 minutes in NBA Finals game 6 is alright
