I think he was thinking of Jalen Williams from the Thunder.

He's got good size and agility, noticeable effort.

But there is definitely room for improvement (based on the eye test).

Bit off tangent from topic but can we appreciate how many jalens there are in the nba. That has to be the most common or one of the most common first names for a hooper in the nba especially w/ gen z.

I watched the ATL > Warriors, Dallas and Toronto games and wow he's such a stud. I've always seen tweets or snippets of him on pods or articles but never actually seen him play and what a gem Atlanta has. I now understand the hesitation over the rumored Murray for Pascal swap.

He just seems like the ultimate glue guy just scratching the surface of who he can become. He was always hitting timely cuts and found ways to get open for the kickout.

He was easily the best player on either team last night.

Love his game. One of our few bright spots right now.

That name is way too generic and he's a 15 ppg on a treadmill team. No one will ever know this guy.

He missed the 65 game threshold, but man JJ seemed like a surefire contender for MIP.

I think he's a future all-star. Realistic he's an All-NBA guy. And it's a long-shot, but I think there's an MVP in there.

It's such a tiny percentage of guys in NBA history who at his size or bigger can slash & pass (shoot, defend, & rebound in his case), and it's a pretty crazy list: Bird, LeBron, Magic, Giannis, etc.

A big w/ near 4 assists in his early 20's playing off Young & Murray is insane. I don't know if it happens in Atlanta because of Young, but what if some team makes him their primary ball-handler?

He'd be better as a secondary ball handler, but man I love this dude. Atlanta realized this past season that he was who they needed to build around. Quinn Snyder praised him when he first got to there in the middle of the season.

They're gonna have to reset most of their roster, but guys like Dyson Daniels are a good way to start building around him. I think he's a legit fringe All-Star this year, like Scottie Barnes was last season (made it on as an injury replacement).
