Yes, healthy Haliburton is sure an all-nba but this season he didn't deserve IMO.

Bad news for Indiana, next season they will pay Siakam & Haliburton more than $85m instead of $78m. You can say the difference is just $8m but that would eventually make it harder to add a legit (let's say max level) player via FA, even though their future salary outlook is one of the best.

i mean... because its a team game obviously, but i think its misleading to state the Lakers didnt "win many games". They ended the regular season with a decent enough record, its just that the west was insanely stacked this year. Conversely, not throwing shade at the celtics here, but lets be honest... they took advantage of a weak conference, made even weaker by injuries. if we're going to talk about team record, lets properly contextualize it.

...if there was really an "LA Market" bias in this voting, you wouldnt have seen LeBron on the 3rd team, lol. By the way, sport media in general has a very well known east coast media bias. I dont think ive ever heard of an influential LA NBA media bias. Not sure thats a thing, but ok.

Sabonis is the only All-NBA player this year that wasn’t named an All Star. Still criminal.

It’s also interesting to see that 11 of the 15 All-NBA players are from the western conference. Just goes to show how brutal the west is this year.

the media loves to TALK about the lakers, because they understand that drives ratings. I dont believe ive ever seen a positive media bias for the lakers. In fact the media seems to love is specifically when the lakers are dealing with drama. Just because they like to discuss the team for the purpose of ratings does not mean there is any love for the franchise. you saw espn caping hard for the knicks in the playoffs. i uh... dont seem to recall that happening with the lakers. in fact i recall pretty much everyone in the media (correctly) predicting the lakers were going to get their ass kicked.

There were a lot of injuries this year which disqualified people from making it.

For example, Embiid and Mitchell for sure would have made it had it not been for injuries. Butler probably would have made it too.

Know what? You may be right. And Jaylen Brown could easily be on the 3rd team. So could Wemby.

I take it back. I think the first team is perfect but the 2nd and 3rd could definitely move a bit.

Because it's a team game. It's positionless teams this year, Tatum was not a top 5 player this season.

Maybe but it's par for the course that the team with the league's best record has at least one 1 All NBA first team representative.

Anyhow I can see the argument for Brunson definitely, but hell no for AD, who was just too inconsistent.
