If you are arguing the basketball GOAT yeah the accomplishments of NCAA count too. If it's the NBA GOAT then obviously not.

If that's the case I believe Kareem rises even more, as his college career was the most impressive.

This is such a soft counter.

Lebron was a much better basktball player than Jordan at the age ncaa accomplishments were being achieved mirroring what he was doing at college at a much higher level. That should be factored in...as a negative point of comparison for Jordan

What in the world are you talking about lol? The poster said Kareem’s accomplishments while playing in college should mean something when talking greatest player ever and you somehow make this about James in comparison to Jordan….did you read what he wrote? He was correct too. Kareem is by far the most accomplished college player ever and gets the shaft somehow in these goat conversations.

The original post compared Lebron to Jordan. Try reading.

The reply is soft because it just accepts the idea that Jordan being worse than Lebron at basketball during the ages of 19-21 is actually a positive for Jordan and runs off in another direction rather than calling the OP out for trying to give Jordan Lebron's "credit".

It's Lebron and it's not even close.

Lol you are something special pal! Dean Smith ran a tight program at UNC where he taught teamwork, integrity, attention to detail, and believing in the system. He coached great players obviously throughout his tenure but no player was stepping on the court showing off or deviating from the system in place. Many NBA greats have spoken about what he meant for their basketball development. If you want to compare young Jordan and James compare their early nba seasons.

Jordan was never able to win a playoff game in 5 seasons without Scottie Pippen.

Jordan was not able to win more games as the starting SG of the Bulls than the exact same team with Pete Myers.

Jordan was not able to ever make the Finals without a better supporting cast relative to league strength than LeBron ever had in his entire career.

Poll medieval Europe and they’d say the sun revolves around the earth. Poll America right now and they’d say a treasonous racist pedophile rapist is the best choice to run the country.

Wilt was never even the best player in the league outside of 1966 and he played against a super thin talent pool. I guess he was at least better than Kobe though.

Lebron James stacked the deck the last 14 years and has probably the worst finals performance of a top 10 player ever

I can't speak for Iggy, but if I lived in the US I'd be pretty embarrassed about Trump's popularity. As far as Lebron vs Jordan, I promise I don't care enough about your views to be bothered by it. I'm 100% sure Iggy doesn't care, because by his own admission he rates everyone purely off advanced stats.

Not as bad as Steph’s performance in the Finals the year that LeBron had the best Finals performance of all time.

Not purely, but it’s my #1 factor.

And yes, I’m a little butthurt that a fascist pedophile rapist who wants to overthrow American democracy is likely to be my next president.

He had the best defensive finals ever by a perimeter player and came from 3-1 down to beat the best regular season team ever by putting up 41/16/7/3/3, 41/8/11/4/3, and 27/11/11/2/3 in the last 3 games. Good luck finding another Finals that’s even close.

Also, I’m not a “LeBron fan”. I just appreciate his greatness. My 2 favorite players ever are Dirk and Jokic.
