He’s 6’10 250 lbs with guard skills. He’s bigger than most centers while having all the skills of an elite SG.

The biggest matchup nightmare since Dirk.

This is why hype is so stupid. Dudes like Bronny get 24-7 coverage since diapers, and a guy like Paolo quietly goes #1

Franz's advanced metrics have been significantly better than Paolo's across the board for the last two years, but you really have to watch the games to understand why that is.

Paolo's asked to do a lot more from a difficult shot creation standpoint, as well as a providing gravity for others standpoint, and also asked to overcome a lot more from a coverage perspective.

And that's not me knocking Franz because I love the guy. But he's just in a very different role than Paolo is.

He was recruited by the Italians (hence his citizenship) because of his Italian heritage but dude is American. He has only been to Italy a few times.

His mother is African American and his father is Italian American.

His father's parents were born in Italy and immigrated to America. Paolo's dad was born in America.

His mom was a college hoops star at Washington and played in the early days of the WNBA.

So technically yes, he does have Italian lineage only one generation removed on one side of his family, but ultimately he's American born to two American born parents.

From an outsider's POV, it mostly looks like he smashes a ton of shots inside and is more efficient as a result. And he's considerably better at the line. Last season, he scored almost 2/3s of his offense off of cuts, transition, spot-ups and free throws. He scored 7 ppg off of other possession types out of his 19.7 ppg.

So yeah, even from a sanitized, removed POV, it's pretty clear he was working around the center of offensive creation rather than dominating individually. Not so much with the isolations or the post-ups, more on secondary action.

Does that match what you saw?

So we can expect 50 points against Indiana from Scottie too then right?

Or is that not convenient for your comparison?

Scottie is a different player, you will not see him taking so many shots

I also want to know the answer to these questions. Can't find it anywhere except here and some random tweet. Weird that the title is supposedly tearing down a statement that's nowhere to be found. And who is Wosny?

He said it on Bill Simmons' podcast I believe. Might have been Rusillo's. It was a national podcast either way.

The 1st half was a nightmare for the Pacers, Paolo hit EVERYTHING. He wasn't getting all warm up jumpers either. The defense was pretty good on most of his shots. The 1st half was one of the best single player performances I've seen against the Pacers maybe EVER.

He was awful in the 3rd and most of the 4th. He looked like he was exhausted. He then got a second wind and closed us out.

It was a very hard played game. Hell of a game if you were a neutral fan. Sucked balls for me. Congrats Magic, you have a good young team.

Why do people say stupid stuff like this? I get it to antagonize but you realize Shaq is the only one that actually left the magic for the Lakers right?? And that was an unusual situation when restricted free agency wasn't a thing. It's just ridiculous at this point to bring that up.

Technically, all the Magic 1st overall picks (Shaq and Dwight) have gone to the Lakers, lol.

But Dwight didn't leave to go to the Lakers. He was traded there. He didn't even want to go to the Lakers. He want to go to Brooklyn. Even someone like bamba bum a$$ was traded there. He didn't sign there.

Plus penny who technically was out first overall pick didn't go to LA.

I know what you are trying say but come on now, the poster was correct both guys did end up in LA. It is what it is. Doesn’t mean Paolo will go too, lol.

Again, I know what you are trying to say but Penny was not the top overall pick.

I'm glad RealGMers don't know who wosny is, but his terrible take will fuel my hate for a long time.
