Three games seems excessive seeing he wasn't the instigator. Yeah, he committed a hard foul that got things rolling, but it was Marshall that ran his mouth enough to get Nurkic back over there and then struck him with a closed fist. Nurkic slapped him open handed and while that shouldn't have happened either, I feel this is a tad excessive.

That said, this is actually a blessing as they play better without him in the lineup so I'm not all that bothered by his rashness getting the better of him.

I agree. I don't see how Naji got more than Nurk. Nurk started it with the extremely hard fall on Gafford. Then, he smacked Naji on the side of the head. Naji hit him after that. Ridiculous.

Come on, dude. It was a fall and wasn't necessarily deliberate. If it were, he would have purposely fallen ONTO him and that's not how it went down as Nurkic stayed on his feet. Your dude Marshall then got involved by running his mouth and saying something to get Nurkic to respond, so your "instigator" is actually the guy on your own team. As for the smack, that's all it was: Open handed and a slap/push. Marshall actually made the close fist strike and got the suspension he deserved. That's why he got the additional game.

To be honest, Nurkic knew that if he'd closed his fist and struck him, the suspension and fine would be a lot longer than the action he took. He's not stupid.

Marshall also pursued Nurkic in the tunnel to continue the altercation, not to mention the low class move to put a pic of the punch strike on his social media as a backdrop. The league isn't going to stand for that nonsense, hence the extra game.

1...nurkic was walking away like no big deal and marshall said something that lured nurkic back
2...marshall then initiates with a chest shove. he lays hands on nurkic FIRST
3...nurkic made an open handed face SHOVE/slap
4...marshall retaliated with a thrown PUNCH

and it was marshall who was the THIRD party in all this. without marshall none of this happens. he was the aggressor at every point

1. Nurkic turned around that’s the escalation, he’s the a little bitch for being that soft. He’s mad because he’s ass and on a **** team. If Marshall or PJ said something really bad we would’ve heard what was said by now but we haven’t so it was just something weak.

2. Marshall doesn’t shove him in the chest. He puts his hand on Nurkic’s chest because Nurkic is coming straight at Marshall.

3. Nurkic swings first. That’s all that matters.

Technically, Marshall was the first to touch Nurkic and also the only one to throw a punch. But Nurk was leaning forward aggressively, ready for a confrontation, when Marshall pushed him first.

Marshall started it so he should get more punishment than Nurkic; so NBA got it right
