First and foremost, this is a massive slap across the face to all the past and present slaves across the world - just an utterly shameful and disgusting thing to say.

To give him the slight benefit of the doubt, I understand what he is trying to convey in his little pea-brain, but he was so off to mark that he deserves all the criticism that comes his way. Some people just needs to replay what they intend to say back in their mind, before opening their mouth because boy, was it a stupid remark. Does it make him a bad person? Extremely stupid statement, but I'm sure it's very difficult for these athletes to have so much money, admiration, and even power ( because of their money and fame), but still have a major piece of their life up to the whim of the GM/ owner.
