 Shameless bunch of clowns.

Oh no we can't pay a dude that carried the team to the finals the year before when they had no business doing so, but we want more of your money to cut salary.

Nope.

They want a casino in Dallas.

There's no way they'd relocate the Mavs.

The reason for the thought that they'd move the team is because they had already donated millions to try to get gambling legalized in Texas and so far it looks like it's going nowhere. Their plan was always to have a team to play around a massive casino resort and if they can't do that in Texas they just might tuck their tails and move back to Vegas

I believe this is what they are planning to scare lawmakers with. "If we can't have it here then we move the team to Vegas".

Could that actually work? I wonder what could they do, to a point NBA could step up and force them sell the team? apart from garbage management, they just seem like very unpleasant human beings in general, NBA probably hates having them in the family.

They're like the Donald Trump of the NBA. Actions just don't make any sense whatsoever.

That makes no sense whatsoever. Are you an owner of the Mavs?

Maybe they do have some loose fans though

Actually it's very similar if you think about it. Nico is Trump, the unqualified con artist moron who was picked to run the show and ruin everything. And the Adelsons are Elon and the tech robber barons, the evil billionaires who are really behind ruining everything

Actually No. Even in your warped stupid story (well done mind you, it takes a dark mind) you can't even see that the Adelsons would be the president and Nico is the consultant. Not VERY similar at all, like complete opposite actually, but again, like the other dude, get your political theories into the thread.

You can imagine Kyrie and AD as a top core? Too much injury between the two of them unfortunately. I'm a Kyrie fan, but I feel I never get to see him.

This franchise is dead at least for next 5 years.

Kyrie injury is a good thing for the fans, Harrison was ready to shop all our assets and young guns for the 37yo Durant.

I'm sorry for Kyrie obviously and i hope he will not resign for those clowns.

Mavs fans MUST boycott the games.
Let Harrison and Dumont watch their Mavs alone.

Go to your own profile. Look for the "Search user's posts" function. Then type in "resign".

I'd dare to guess that 95% of posts on this forum incorrectly use "resign" instead of "re-sign," despite these terms having nearly opposite meanings. You're 0 for 15 yourself.

Don't forget noone. It's no one.

I am shocked the mavs are this tonedeaf to announce this right now...

Obviously Kyrie's injury happened just after the announcement so people are piling on but it just seems insane to announce raising prices with a very vague promise of increased "fan engagement" when they've traded away the primary reason fans engaged in the team to save money.
I wonder if this is partly because fans were cancelling existing season tickets in protest and they wanted to make up for that shortfall/increase the ticket prices on the newly available tickets.

Now with Kyrie's acl on top this looks like the biggest most rapid fall I've seen from NBA finals participant to dumpster fire in my lifetime. The Bulls 98'-99' fiasco was similarly bad but at least it was planned and the team was getting old. Dallas had Luka for another half decade at least.

every team is raising prices. Dallas would be smart to lower them for a bit. The bad blood forming is going to last a generation.

Mavs fans should just stop attending games. Would be interesting to see the Mavs stadium completely empty.

The Mavericks are in the holy trinity of pain in the following manners:

1) Fascism. Miriam Adelson like her late husband the demon warmongering wombat ginger with no soul is hell bent on making life a living hell for the sake of I got money you don't. Essentially bankrolled agent orange's campaign and will benefit massively.

2) Corporatism. Patrick Dumont is a certified prick who will use his mother-in law's wealth to try and bully Texas into giving them a casino. Right now they own land on the site of the former Texas Stadium and if approved it will be truly funny and sad. There was a hole in the roof so God could watch his favourite team play. Now there'll be a roof to prevent god from watching the madness ensue.
Big Patty will stand for just about anything.

3) Incompetence. Let's face it Nico has destroyed his legacy. He screwed up royally with Nike by letting Steph Curry walk out the door or should I say pushed him out with a horrific presentation that really left a bad taste in the mouths of the Curry clan. What he and Patty have done in disparaging Luka's name is despicable as he did everything possible to drive Luka out of Dallas and succeeded. Ownership didn't want to pay the supermax despite Doncic being a generational talent and let's just say they got penny wise and pound foolish. By chasing pennies, they've lost dollars and years of goodwill built up. All for a dude who's been nicknamed street clothes and half man half a season.

Honestly don't be surprised if the Mavericks get relocated to Las Vegas in the event that the casino push fails. Anybody thinking Silver won't be like his master Stern is fooling themselves. They were willing to send the Supersonics from Seattle to OKC to send a message to every city that has an NBA team. The message being you better give us a 100% publicly financed stadium or we'll find someone that will bend over.

For Dumont and Nico trying to act like nice guys guess what: they said the same thing about Titanic and look what happened to that.

Best thing Mavs fans can do is not show up, don't tune into games and don't buy any merchandise. It could get ugly like the way the Oilers and Houston was after 1993.
