Craig Porter Jr for sure getting burn off the bench. We'll see if Kenny decides Green or Tristan Kardashian will get the spot minutes at 5. Okeke gonna get run or we not that desperate yet?

Yep. The Cavs might—might be able to beat Indiana without these 3, but they have no chance against Boston with a hobbled roster.

The Cavs reserves had a big lead against the Pacer starters in a final week game. Pacers did come back but tonight won't be a walk over.

These injuries also explain why the Pacers outlasted the Cavs down the stretch in that 4th quarter.

Given the fact Turner and Mathurin were the proximate cause of two of those injuries, I wouldn't expect a lot of sympathy.
I mean, that's not fair, is it?
Myles was straight up contesting a shot when Mobley's foot landed on his foot. It's not like he was trying to undercut him.
Same with Mathurin. He was making a basketball play at the ball. He wasn't trying to injure anyone. Even the refs considered the contact with his left arm marginal which is why they didn't overturn the call upon review.
Neither of those plays were intended to injure another player. If we start doing that then I could blame LeBron James for ending Danny Granger's career during our series back in 2012 (and with the series tied at 2-2). That wouldn't be fair, though, would it?
Suffice to say that I have eyes, there's tape on all of it, and I strongly disagree. The rule about not taking away a shooters landing space exists for a reason. That's what Turner did. The rule about not pushing a player in the air exists for a reason. I would note that Zarbas crew got switchec out to the Minny game tonight.
I have eyes as well and we can agree to disagree.
Myles did NOT move into Mobley's landing space. I do not see how one can argue that he did. Plays like this one literally happen every game. It happened to Thomas Bryant earlier in that very quarter but no one's talking about it simply because Bryant's foot didn't land on Strus' foot (it landed right next to it) and therefore didn't result in any injury.
As for the Mathurin play, if the refs (upon review) considered the contact a push, they would have overturned the call and called it a foul. They did NOT consider it a push and they looked at it from a lot more angles than we did. It's just like that Gordon dunk in the Nuggets-Clippers series, I am going to trust those who have more angles than we do.
Look, it sucks that Hunter and Mobley ended up with injuries from these plays. I can sympathize with that as injuries have also **** over my team and derailed their seasons in the past (I mean, seriously, who hasn't, every fan base has seen their team's season derailed by injuries it feels like). For what is worth, I hope that they get healthy as soon as possible. I wish they played tonight and never got injured in the first place.
But if we are to consider normal basketball plays dirty because they resulted in an injury then we may as well pack it up and not play the game at all.

Maybe see all your stars face career threatening injuries for a decade?
You're acting as if my team hasn't had some bad tragedies as well. We lost Shaq, then Penny had major injuries, then we signed Grant Hill and he was injured for 5 and a half years of the 7 that he signed for. Then Dwight Howard requested a trade after a Finals appearance and an ECF appearance in back-to-back years, and then we've been in the trenches until just last year.
And to top it off, the Magic are always seen as a scrubby team around here, despite finishing 41-41 with major injuries to literally all of our top 4 players. The Magic could've been the Pelicans or the Sixers who also dealt with injuries and ended up the worst teams in the league, instead, they fought through it anyway.
2 years ago we were the most injured team in the league by a wide margin as well. This Magic fanbase has felt more pain than most. So we've paid our dues, it's time for some luck our way for once.
Yea, we saw Granger go down with what was essentially a career ending injury, PG went down for a whole season and had his entirely personality change, and then Dipo. We’ve been there too. Not to mention Malice at the Palace or all of the other injuries we’ve seen. You’re not alone.
Even so, I don’t want the teams we are playing to be injured. I wish they were healthy. I don’t view it as some kind of blessing that they are hurt. If we are going to win, I’d want to beat the best, not have an easier route.

I already disliked the way game 1 of this series was played as it was, but if both teams aren't going to be fully healthy, I question how good this series could be. It sucks because I've been enjoying these playoffs so far.
God. Family. Country. Basketball.

Maybe they’ve grown? But the history of this squad is that they play down to bad/injured teams.
This was not the case last season when you played Grandpa Middleton and the Bucks and then the ER Knicks.
We let those teams take more games than expected off of us(though really, the refs gifted the Knicks the first game.)

Yup, Cavs were up 98-97 when Turner injured Mobley.DowJones wrote:These injuries also explain why the Pacers outlasted the Cavs down the stretch in that 4th quarter.

Danny Granger? How far back are we going for sympathy? And Ron Artest getting himself suspended for fighting fans? Why should I feel bad for Indiana on that one?
Indiana had all the injury luck in the world last year, and it miraculously has continued this year.

Mind showing me where I asked for sympathy?
The other guy was whining so I was reminding him we’ve all been there.
Then I proceeded to talk about how I hate this for Cleveland and wished they were healthy.
You’re mad over nothing.

“The other day I saw one of his games. He was running with the ball at a hundred per cent full speed, I don’t know how many touches he took, maybe five or six, but the ball was glued to his foot. It’s practically impossible.”
